I love her authenticity. It is so charming.
Generally speaking, women get braver as they get older. Andie's insights come from a life well lived, and a refusal to be anything but herself anymore. She's so beautiful and awesome, and she's just the kind of woman we can look up to as a role model for sincere living. (Not to mention steak and butter.)
She is wonderful and articulate. She should write a film!
I have always loved Andie. She IS so beautiful but so down to earth, so real. I love how relaxed and natural she is chatting as she would with an old friend, totally unaffected, totally real, and totally fabulous. Andie reminds me of both Lauren Bacall and Cybill Shepherd in many ways, but Andie is definitely a one of a kind.
I loved this! It's really great to see an actress be like hey I am not going to go on some crazy diet to look a certain way. She is super awesome and really real!
Ok, I love Andie MacDowell so much more after this interview. "The skinniest I ever was was after my divorce and I thought I looked hideous...everyone else probably said boy she looks great..." man, can I relate. She just speaks the truth, lets it all out. LOVE you, Andie!!!

The first time I saw andie was a gap ad that andie was the main model in the print ads. Probably 1986. I knew she was very special.
You could totally upload the hour long versions of these on RUclips and people would watch. It would be worth it. They'd get views.

She is still gorgeous and wow, did we have the same mom? I always always have remembered for about 20 years something Andie said and it was "most women have a round tummy, its kinda sexy." I see she is still talking tummy, but hearing that has brought me great comfort throughout my years.

I would call her a normal size. Remember shes all in black in this interview. Black makes you look slender.
With the obesity crisis so normal now...she seems thin.
Back in 1980 l remember nobody saying she was "thin". For obesity was not normal like its seen today.

The blurry intro to these segments is way too long & makes me nauseous. I have to look away and sometimes I can't come back to it because I feel dizzy, which is a shame as I enjoy the interviews.
Andie is so right about the whole thing. The thing I liked most is seeing Sam Jones side with her. I don't see many guys who actually get it. That was refreshing.
This title is a tad bit misleading. And only a tad. Sam added the miserable bit and it kinda insinuates that she said that verbatim.

I have a friend that I was convinced was a 0/00. But she wore a sz 4. I was shocked. She could wear a 2 in a dress with a loose cut but no way in pants or a skirt. She's probably not lying.
If she says she s not, shes not.
Yeah no people do not understand what a size 2 really is. Or even what a size 6 is which is a fairly small girl
I love her. But she was a model. At the time she was, it was all about looks. So I don't buy it. But I still like her.
But she was never super thin as a model. She has said that when she was modeling, the zippers on the clothes she wore sometimes didn’t zip.
@@lisajanebrooklyn Modelling is still about looks. Listen to how you judge her character, "She wasn't super thin".
That should be the norm, not the exception.

There's no reason to take your clothes off publicly in films. You do it because you want to.

She was so awful in Groundhog Day she nearly spoilt a great film... and similar in Four Weddings... a pretty face does not make up for the dreariest of voices matched with the dullest of personalities.
