Can't wait until March 20th.. This was my favorite animation show. Me and my mom used to watch every episode in 1997. This really brings back great memories..

Seeing that new show opening brought tears to my eyes. The only way to describe the feeling was one of overwhelming joy. I was young again.
Lenore feels like the marvel equivalent of Kevin Conroy or Arlene Sorkin. She doesn’t play Rogue, she is Rogue. Whoever gets the role in the MCU has got big shoes to fill.
I hope it's good, & they can do the other continuation of The Animated Spider-Man Series, but I think Sony owns that one maybe?🤷🤔

X-Men 97 Final Season needs to show Onslaught as the main villain and we could see the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Hulk and the Avengers all working together to defeat him.

X-Men 97 Future Seasons need to show Colossus joining the X-Men, Magik/The New Mutants, Demon Bear, Deadpool, X-23, Daken, The Shi'ar Empire, Vulcan, Havok, more of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Namor, Hulk vs. Wolverine, Crossover Episode showing X-Men and Fantastic Four teaming up to fight The Brood Aliens, Apocalypse, Holocaust, Mikhail Rasputin, Nils Styger/Abyss, Azazel, Crossover Episode showing Wolverine, Captain America and White Nick Fury teaming up to fight Silver Fox and Hydra, Captain Britain/Excalibur team, Cassandra Nova and others.

I missed Gambit And Rogue, well, the whole gang, hopefully they'll not treat the show as an animated sitcom

They better not make storm cheesy. Iona Morris set the perfect tone with inflection, and Alysson carried that. Something didn’t sound right about what I just heard. And she better have her theme song that she had in the animated series. That was critical to her scenes!
Storm was absolutely cheesy as hell in the original series. She called out all her attacks in a theatrical over the top way.

@@LiamRproductions there’s a difference between cheesy and dramatic! She was overly dramatic in the first series. But her inflections, tones and words made it Un-cheesy! This new echo and singing it, it’s cheesy. There is a difference.

His Voice has changed
The Wolverine SNIKT sounds sounds lame with this version. The original 90s cartoon had a SNIKT sound that put the fear of god on everyone.
Please Disney Plus revive Spiderman Iron Man Fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk animated series from the 90s as well and soon as well
Storms yellow Lightning though 😬 it better look better than THAT! You can’t be outdrawn by animators 25+ years ago. No excuses.

"But adapting for a new audience"! Why? we the original audience still here for the most part, who is the new audience they're adapting for?
Because they want as many views as they can get (literraly kids these days). We old fans of the show are already sold on it. They want to get some newcomers, and if they do, we might get season 7 or 8 of it. There have been times when the comics did that, like when Claremont, cockrum and wein took over, and later grant morrison took over.
Well, the kids and 97 aren’t kids anymore. And most likely have kids of their own now. So I imagine them plus their parents. Plus people who might’ve skipped over the OG series altogether as it was before their time.
Why not the original Gambit????

cool trailer appears cyclope apparently saving sunspot, one of my favorite characters bishop saves gambit, beast takes a sentinel, vampire beats another, powerful storm no words without speechless, cyclope is cyclope, wolverine is a character that most people love full of flaws like Vegeta from Dragon Ball that most people prefer to ignore and see the light but it's cool it also has its value and usefulness he is Basic simple and Brave, Morfon in this situation and Power no can't do much things almost anything, I think I saw Magneto's face and Jubilee doesn't appear.

honestly why does the animation actually look worse and cheap? Voices are off.
Implying that Morph needs to be "nonbinary" is a disservice to the character. I expect Mystique will treated the same from here on out.
If all characters that can shape shift are by design nonbinary, then all of them should adapt themselves to look just as plain.
Morph was born a boy, why would he want to lose his identity and features of his family, when that's all he has left of them and himself.
Turning them into flat, unidentifiable forms and separate from their human ties is homophobic and a very clear comment that the creators of this show don't see nonbinary people as people.
Leave it to Disney to ruin a good thing and to use homopbia, racism and sexism to claim their being inclusive.
In the orginal series they never went into Morphs back story, in fact Morph was never supposed to come back after being killed.
In the comics Morph was born a white blob with no features, or gender. As Morph got older they took a "all American boy" look to make their parents happy and feel more comfortable around Morph. Morphs natural state is this form in the show and has been in the comics since the 90s.
Morph being nonbinary make complete sense. Morph can literally change into anything. In the comics Morph can shapeshift in inanimate objects, animals, humans, alien, creatures, can change their limbs in machine guns and rocket legs.
Mystique is gender fluid in comics and has been for some time.
The Cast needs to have their Youth back
@primuskuhl we are not basing this off the comics. This is a continuing story from the 90s cartoon.
I feel what I stated prior is important, too. This wasn't an attempt to make it more like the comics but a poor attempt at being inclusive. Nonbinary people still have an identity, and one they fight for and should be respected for.

Shape shifting does not make you Nonbinary or fluid. For some, perhaps, but they would still fight for their individual identity. I would see those characters as more polyamorous.
It's okay for them to be heterosexual and also be a shapeshfter. It's okay for Cyclops to come out too. He tries way too hard. We all know he wants to be poly with Jean and Wolverine and that's okay too. Lol.
To make such an adjustment to an established series, justifiably needs an episode of backstory and a respectful approach to that conversation. I do not believe it was handled in such a manner.
@primuskuhl watch the BBC's Misfits, it poses a very interesting problem with shape shifting between the sexes as well as what would happen if.
If this is a subject of a real conversation, then the story and show should represent that. Otherwise it's just a means of marketing to an audience they ostracized and demean by interpreting the idea as they want to understand it. ("Mansplaining" kind of thing)

the show is called x men 97 it doesnt tke place in 2004
every cell in erik's body is EM shielded by his mutant ability so his RNA is protected from free radicals and thus he ages at a decreased rate. /is exactly the kind of biotechnobabble i'd handwave that away with if i was marvel.
