im so grateful for these podcasts. i just put them on while i have work to do..especially work i dont want to do but must...and then i get in to the zone with these casts and whoops....two hrs have past...the work is done...and the stress i was anticipating because of the work is non-existent. Thank you mr.Harris. I'm a believer now. :)
Thanks for making this. Incredibly well done, and a huge improvement on the original! Love the music as well. Though having a second version on youtube without music/echo might also be interesting.
This blew my mind! I love what you did :) By slowing it down it gives the words a chance to sink in and the backing track is great. I try a different meditation video every night and none have really stuck. Ive found that either the voice was annoying, the guidance was no good, there was no balance between the backing track and vocals or the length of the video was too short or too long. This was perfect! Thanks for uploading, now I won't have to spend hours every night trying to find something to go to sleep to
Hi there, I love what you've done here by adding the music and reverb, but could you possibly release this elongated version without the music? (or could you send it to my via email? If so, please PM me). Best regards.
No such of thing 😉. Just give up all expectations, do it as long as you don't feel it as a burden (even when it is only 5 minutes) and you will be able increase the time gradually. Try maybe only music first, where you don't have to follow someone's direction and feeling that you can't do it as it was "expected" from you. Instead of time, let the goal be to put your mind at peace. Even if it is only 5 minutes. To achieve "not thinking" of your own problems, dilemmas or daydreams, it is necessary to focus on something ( your breath, your body parts and how you feel your body or other sensations), anything other than your regular "self talk/self conversation ". Do not expect "rainbows, heavenly chimes, nymphs, trippy voyages" etc. I think meditation is very personal. People feel different things to be helpful and they experience different things. Even how your own meditation feels to you changes and varies by day or by longer periods. Wishing you good luck and keep going 🙂! Maybe in no time, maybe next year or a decade you will have "rainbows, heavenly chimes, nymphs, trippy voyages" 😄
There is nowhere "to get". You are already here, now arn't you? This is the (seeming) paradox of meditation, you can't really "get better" at it because the thing "you" are looking for is right there, in fact, it IS "you". Do less. Become merely an interested observer of the automatic processes of the mind; it's not about "not thinking" either, because just like sight or sound, thought just happens. Give up trying, but also keep going.
Yeah at the time I really liked it, but I see where people are coming from. If your room is quiet and you want quiet, then you have the option of the other version now. Glad you're enjoying it. Read his book "Waking Up" if you haven't already :)
of course i have. The Headless way described in it gave me the first brief glimpse of the subject-object unification. Forever grateful for that. The book is a rationalist legitimization of Contemplation which is very important in these times. However on that topic alone, I mostly listen to other Teachers.
Why the music. This seems to defeat the purpose of meditation, but maybe I'm wrong and it helps others. To me it seems to add to the white noise that is your mind.
LogicSpeaks in Sahaja Yoga they go into thoughtless awareness. It’s being aware of ur surroundings but not reacting to them. They often have indian ragas playing in the background they believe the spiritual music helps cleanse ur body. Anyway I find this music more helpful as I hVe tinnitus. I hear constant noise in silence so it’s better for me to have noise. There is no one right way to meditate it’s not “wrong” to have music playing.
Why do meditation guides always feel they have to add music and birds chirping and water trickling etc. It's more of a distraction than anything else. I mean what could be better than silence when trying to quieten the mind? And there a plenty of sounds around us anyway. I don't get it...

The song is 'Release' by Christopher Willits from his visual album 'Opening' - definitely worth a watch. I took a small section from the beginning of the track, looped it and took away some of the higher frequencies to make it less harsh and to allow Sam's voice to come through a bit more.
Thank you.
My favorite guided meditation 🧘

Sam would roll over in his non-grave to hear that comment. ;]
Gods work is so well said :), literally healing and saving people!!

could you make another one without the music?
J LaReaux yes, no music. Distracting.

This is good but Sam speaks a little too fast. Set this to 0.75 playback speed and it’s perfect

I've used this so many times but nothing has actually gotten me anywhere. I think I'm unmeditationable.

I didn’t get it until I smoked weed and then I got it even more on shrooms lol 😂 I wonder what’s out there next
why do they ruin this good work with a backing track?
When I feel my consciousness behind my face like Sam says, and when I see the arising of thoughts, what is happening exactly?
You're acting from a truer self- as the watcher. You're detaching from your ego and noticing without blending with emotions/resistence
is this the complete meditation? the ending isn’t really an ending.
Go to sleep and stop scrolling through the comments!!!
Go to sleep? It's a meditation video
Where can I find this music?
it's a loop of one of Christopher Willits' songs
I see. Thanks. I liked the music. It helped. I dont know what others are complaining about :)
Right now this video is my go-to (and actually the only) guided meditation

Maybe because sam didn't put this together.
great script but music to loud
there's a version without music posted too
Lol It is amazing to me that not more comments are about the loud volum.
Dude, the music is way too loud

Music is too loud…. Distracting.
Music too loud… distracting and unable to hear any local sounds…. Such a shame. Cathryn
There's a no music version as well :)
@@timmmyyb Thank you
It would work better with some oxycodone. I don't want to be aware of the effing pain. Gravity hurts .
Cannot listen to this one. The music is too loud, one-sided, repetitive and very distracting.
