They, the writers, could've at least made an excuse by making the characters say that there is a heavy snowstorm that they couldn't see or hear well to know that's Blanc. That would also make sense for IF to say "You did what?" in that matter. Also, we know that we don't want an angry Compa.

The original Neptunia - even enhanced as this is - is still a hot mess and I wouldn't want it any other way. It's sorta the whole "so bad it's good" thing.

Hmm, going through these videos, makes me realize just how generic the story for Rebirth 1 is. I mean, the writing is iffy in some places for the first game, but at least it seemed the writers tried to do something beyond, "cute girls being stupid and comedic".
That's how games from a new franchise start off. It's always gonna be, well you said it; iffy. But eventually games inprove over time. That's how we got the games we have today.

Without knowing White Heart is a goddess, both Compa and IF refer to her as a newtype for having superior strength and skill in battle than is normal for a human being. It's a subtle reference, but it's a really satisfying one since it's never explicitly explained.
