Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on January 9, 2025. The event, running from January 8 to 10, celebrates the contributions of the Indian diaspora to India's development. Modi addresses, attends and inaugurates four exhibitions showcasing the cultural heritage and achievements of migrants. Notably, he also flagged off the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train for the diaspora. The convention is themed "Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat" and features delegates from over 50 countries.
