I wud have done the same as I always silently help pay for groceries of similar situation at the supermarket checkout as its such an honor tb able to help others for whatever reasons that they can pay bec they don't have enough. One time a mom in front of me didn't have enuf to pay for all her purchase, so she had to put some essentials back, I quickly put it back in her line & told the cashiers to charge everything on my card..she started to tear up.
This brought tears to my eyes. It is a blessing to be able to age. People take it for granted and fail to appreciate the gift of our elders. Thank you to the young man and the lady in line. They both will be blessed abundantly. The cashier has a lot to learn about Grace!!!

My elderly father forgot his wallet in the car. He had already put his items on the conveyor belt before he realized it. He went out to the car to get his money. When he got back into the store, he discovered that the woman in line behind him had paid his bill. My dad was so overcome that he broke down in tears. Of course he waited until he was back in the car because he didn't want to be embarrassed. Dad was so appreciative. There are kind angels out there.

The racial history of the U.S. lends a much different perspective to the term black. If one is in a homogenous community in Africa, with a black majority, the term carries a different meaning indeed. As someone who's lived in both Africa and the West, my personal experiences allow for viable comparisons. Still, colorism is another dilemma altogether, I agree.
