Good job Frank,I totally get why you had to do this song. Its hard to sit back and watch all this unraveling of a country.Your not pulling any punches here ,people should be scared.
should have become obsolete in Nov. 2020, but then the Treasonous insurrection and the GOP obstruction keeps it meaningful, I'm afraid. .and now they are back trying to legislate their voter suppression tricks - disgusting!
@@frankludwig314 Total agreement! Even though I was raised Saskatoon, I was born in Windsor. My early years were spent in a love affair with the music scene in Detroit. I use to love crossing the border for concerts when I was back in Windsor visiting for summer holidays. Now a days I just couldn’t be bothered to visit the US anymore. Its really lost is way hasn’t it? The GOP party has done its best to try and destroy democracy. America will never be the same after The Orange Man!
@@billydow9798 Hopefully there will be a renewed impetus to make significant changes...but sure a tough battle, especially with GOP voter suppression tactics
I've listened a few times. There's a lot of music, here, Frank. And everybody has a political view. The two seldom mix. The Guess Who wrote about a woman. Sounds like you want to see the end of "the America Dream". That's going to put lots of people off. (I understand you're anti-Trump) "Canadian woman, don't ya vote Trudeau; Canadian woman, he's got to go..." No? If I were to produce this song, it would be mostly acoustic, gentler, maybe strings, and other voices, especially female. Plaintive, pleading... but I'm getting carried away. Thanks for putting this out, Frank. Keep up the good work.
appreciate you taking the time to comment so thoroughly. actually I think the American Dream is commendable...welcoming immigrants...opportunity for all...the song is just meant as a reminder of the ideals that have existed within the Union and in combination with the more hopeful "I Been Consumed" is a prayer that those ideals will carry the day....but you're absolutely correct re my opinion of Trump.. but it's not rock and roll to worry too much about offending someone, although I'm not generally driven to do that.... btw..American Woman wasn't about a woman, but rather about the Viet-nam War...I'd love to hear that version you're hearing in your head...
@@frankludwig314 - It wasn't ABOUT a woman but it was TO a woman. Your song is to everybody/anybody in general. It was of a Vietnam era hit, however. Anyway, good luck with your project.
@@geoffburton822 hello again..thanks for being willing to support my efforts despite my political views - and 2 of the images I included show looters, so I do try to be balanced...the 2 lines that I think spell things out in Amer.Woman are, "I don't need your war machine, I don't need your ghetto scene". I Don't know if they show up in the Lenny Kravitz version thanks again for putting up with my opinionating!
@@frankludwig314 - Haha, a relationship with any woman can be a war-machine and/or ghetto-scene, but enough about my sad love-life. I watched your song, again. And I stand by my original comments. Nevertheless, I'd be torn between your music and your politics. Each deserves more attention than I can afford, just now, but thanks for answering :) I know you're an old master, Frank, still preaching at the Church of Music, after all these years. Keep playing. Keep creating; keep putting your creations out. ...Just don't be scared; be brave, courageous and bold. I know it ain't easy. Peace.
Thanks for the great song Frank! I am very concerned about where the U.S.A. is headed; either way the election goes there could be serious problems.
yes, especially with the passing of RBG
So timely . . . and nice visual editing too!
always a compliment coming from you, a video editor. Thanks
If only it weren't true -- *I'm* certainly scared of America!!
fer sure!

thanks - yes, and just when you think it can't get worse...
Love it ! Wish I had heard it earlier.
sadly, it's even more relevant now...thanks for your comment
Well put together Frank I miss your music skills ! You sound like and could be the next David Bowie !!
thanks Peter...interesting comparison- always thought I was more like Cindy Lauper lol?
Actually Frank, I think Cindy Lauper copied your hair from the 70's. Ha ha LOL
Something most people are thinking right now Frank.

oh, and by including some pictures of natural America and the Statue of Liberty, I'm trying to say the the good is still there along with the dream
