I love lagoona but Lagoona and Gil’s relationship was so annoying. In one movie they’re fighting the next they’re love birds, the next they’re fighting again 🙄. Same goes with the webisodes it’s so annoying it’s basically a monster high cliche at this point if they were to feature lagoona in a webisode or movie. I honestly think she could be a different sexuality if Gil ever had broke up with her. She gets along with everyone and she’s so down to earth I honestly think that if they were freely allowed to implement it in the show/movies, she could be bi or lesbian or even pan.

Rewatching the movies made me realize some things now that I'm older and while I got that Valentine was gay in diaries and movies, I never got that from Neigthan or Clawdeen. To me, Clawdeen would be bisexual and Neigthan would be pansexual and honestly just love someone for themselves. I need to follow you because I can't believe I missed voting and telling my favorite ships!

About Cleo and Clawd it's actually explained in the dolls diaries, when Cupid was a new student at MH she saw Cleo being "the popular girl" and Clawd being "the athletic popular guy" so she shoot them with her arrow thinking they would be a perfect match, but they really didn't have any chemistry so they broke up, which caused Clawdeen to hate Cleo at first ;w;

Ahh! I feel like I had to say this so many times. I agree they don’t really belong because of all their problems but Lagoona is not the victim they both don’t deserve each other for Gil not sticking up for Lagoona and Lagoona not trusting Gil. I personally adore them together, and I love Gil so maybe that why I get so defensive when people say he doesn’t deserve Lagoona. Iris and Manny I’d say are a more unhealthy couple because Manny doesn’t even try at all. Gil has stuck up for her and that was probably really hard for him to go against his scary strict parents. I think he’s always really loved her but he also loves his parent and is afraid of what they think and what Lagoona thinks. I’d say he’s in a tough place and shouldn’t be dating until he sorts it out
THISSS. Gil had a lot of development and i think they're the side of monster race relationships that weren't really touched upon with Clawd and Drac. Gil was genuinely sweet and 9 times out of 10 him and Lagoona had good story lines, just bad execution. I also don't blame Lagoona for thinking he might've cheated because of how finnicky their relationship is AND how they were LDR at the time. i think mattel just needed more of a reason to create drama
i think what raven said abt iris and manny was spot on. Manny liked her while Iris loved him. it could've been cute but they were also side characters so i understamd why there wasn't always focus on them

Gods, I had no idea there were so many official couples! I figured half of these were going to be Frankie x Boy of the Week. Which, of course, there were. But I was glad you included the LGBTQ characters outside the "official" context. I love the ships you've made up. I always wanted to see Clawdeen and Operetta together. They're both such strong willed girls and very passionate about their artistic sursuits. I could also see Toralie and Clawdeen. They'd fight, but they'd make up very quickly.
I never would've thought of Hoodude and Elisabat, but now that you said it, it's too cute to pass up!
Abby and Ghoulia is a ship I've kind of watched since the beginning of Monster High. They're both problem solvers and very patient people. I just think it would work very well.
