Wow, this was a wonderful tour Dale. You are so right about it being wasted tho. Probably wouldn't take all that much to make it beautiful again, or as you said, give it to the homeless. I bet they would put in the time and effort to restore it if given the chance. Thanks for sharing this and thanks and Hi to Lisa as well!! 💜
I remember seeing this place on another explroers video also and they said people still live there. I would be scared someone would come and rob me like in the movie "dont breathe". Amazing place to explore and take photos for sure
@@escapade_z I like the drone footage too! I'm sure it's pretty hard to find time and the right places but please keep them coming. ✌️& much ❤️ from America 🇺🇲🙋🏼♀️
This came as a shock to me, i lived above where the property shop was in Robert St when i was a kid back in the late 70s. Sad to see it like this, apart from the decay it is just like i remember it. Thans for taking the time to make the film.
Dale that is a great idea!!❤️ give the homeless and needy a 🏡!!!! It’s so wasteful for a town to just waste away… there are so many people in the world that need help

Your videoing skills are improving. Doing the different shots of you and Lisa walking around was good. Added more to it. So does this mean there are no more France videos??
No more France vids from me unfortunately, I lost my kit at the chapel so didn’t film anymore , Plus I didn’t really enjoy filming around 5 people , it was really hard with everyone talking etc
@@escapade_z I understand about all the people. One or two ok. But more and it's like everyone all of a sudden has to be in your space. But honestly I don't understand about the equipment left behind. I've priced a few things over here in the last few years and know how expensive photo equipment is. Hi, I enjoyed this explore, you didn't sensationalise it like others have done. I have family who live at the top of the hill there, and they say it was once a thriving place. Quite a bit of the property is privately owned, rented out to people on benefits, as they've moved out the landlord has lost his income so has just left it to rot. The Hibs social club there is great for parties still.
@Escapade I was up there only last week for a few days and passed it everyday. So sad to see it so neglected. I'm off to binge watch some of your videos, I hope your channel grows from strength to strength.
It must have been quite nice to live there once upon a time. I agree, it could be saved. The homeless could have at least somewhere, even if the flats are small, to feel safe in. I actually don't mind the place. Well done you two.👍
How close is it to shops, amenities and jobs? If those things aren't in walking distance, it unfortunately isn't that helpful for homeless people who have limited means of travel
we visited this site 2 years ago, its a good explore... there was a way into the church and there was still some electricity in the school gym when we were there.
I live on adjacent street and must negotiate estate on a daily basis with glass on pavements etc. Environmental Health Services and Housing Association are complacent to tenants which is unbelievable in a civilized society
I was thinking the exact same thing Dale! Why not put some work into those apartments and buildings to provide a place to live for the homeless. Especially homeless families. What a shame. 🥺 I think it would be epic if here in the United States fruit and nut trees be planted in city parks, downtown in cities, in medians, streetside instead of evergreen trees, oak trees, etc. Doing so would provide food for the homeless. It would be an epic idea no matter what country you live in! Sadly, I don't see that ever being a resource for them. It's just disgraceful.😢 Interesting explore Dale & Lisa! ~APRIL LIPKE
Such a shame about the buildings going to waste. They should re-open and allow homeless people to stay there, especially during the cold winter nights.
It’s crazy how fast a place can decay once water damage occurs , I saw one house once that had decayed worse than this and it had only been abandoned for just under 2 years
Yea I saw that , it’s actually sad , I also think it’s kinda sus … they blamed the local kids but if you ask me the kids would have done it years ago … inside job kinda thing I’d say
What a waste. People need housing and this is left to ruin. What is wrong with people 😡 people are on the streets, some in inadequate properties. Either do them up or pull them down and rebuild.

Be good to hear what the locals that still live there say and think about it 👀
I’ve never understood why or what some people get out of destroying and tagging property just because.
Eerie vibes 😮
Such a sad one Dale, as you said, with funding it could be done up and with so many homeless plus refugees it would be beneficial.xx
It really could be saved , it’s a shame it’s being left like this because of dodgy landlords etc , a lot of these could go to good use.. 💯

The church was open once when I went but it’s very derelict , great place to explore 💯💯

That’s not Glasgow it’s Port Glasgow I wonder why I had never heard of it as I have lived in Glasgow all my life
Yea I thought it was Glasgow , no one told me it wasn’t they just let me get on with it 😂😂😂😂
If that school was last used in 2008, shows how little time it takes for nature to take over a place once a few windows have been smashed ect.
It does , especially after water damage starts , it’s a fast decline from there , thanks for watching frank 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Its like an apocalyptic town! It looks spooky. Im half expecting to see a zombie in one of those windows 😂
Hahaha imagine ! They’re knocking it all down now
@Escapade I think this might be one time I'm glad it's being knocked down 😅
Such a shame about the buildings going to waste. They should re-open and allow homeless people to stay there, especially during the cold winter nights.
That schools in some state now, was in decent condition when I went, electric was still working
I went last year and it was in a lot better condition then , It’s sad how it’s been left , out of all the buildings this one should be saved 💯
It is so unfortunate when history is allowed to decay like this as we are not losing buildings, but the stories of our own humanity.
Totally agree 💯
Plus, Apartments are in America. Flats are in Glasgow
Same thing
Is that off of Glasgow Road? On the edge of town?
What a waste homeless everywhere and all of those empty buildings. We as humans make no sense
It’s port Glasgow and yes it’s truly a major waste …
only closed in 2008? wow that school has degraded fast
It’s crazy how fast a place can decay once water damage occurs , I saw one house once that had decayed worse than this and it had only been abandoned for just under 2 years

I can’t believe anyone still lives there! Everything looks so dark and abandoned, I’ll bet they don’t wander around at night 😬
I wouldn’t either ! 😅
The school was set on fire a few months ago, I think it’s just a shell now.
Yea I saw that , it’s actually sad , I also think it’s kinda sus … they blamed the local kids but if you ask me the kids would have done it years ago … inside job kinda thing I’d say
I know Glasgow well. Where is this?
This is port Glasgow
I think most of the 20 people that live there live on Bruce Street
Give it to the homeless , But I bet if there’s no money to be made. Fuckin greed
💯💯
