It sounds like Julie didn’t watch ONE MINUTE of the trial. She didn’t have her facts right and she said the lead investigator was relieved of his duties. NO HE WASN’T. He should have been, but the Massachusetts State Police, basically, demoted him down to a “regular” Trooper. He is STILL employed by the MASS State Police. Terrible interview by Julie Banderas. She should do her research before interviewing someone.

One of the criminal investigators, which was owned the police department at that main department it was doing this investigation was removed from office. He was fired because he was found to be corrupt Which possibly leans to this home police department full of corruption. So you better pay attention to what's going on for you? Assume that she's Is guilty, especially when there was a hunger. She was not found guilty. Who do you know it's on that police department? Or who do you have associations with?

The investigation should be about the victim and what happened to them. A TRIAL is about the defendant and what they're accused of. I don't understand why anyone would think a trial is supposed to be focused on the victim or thier family. After the case is PROVEN, it becomes about the victim and thier loved ones again during sentencing, but not during the trial. The entire point of a trial is to show evidence that the suspect (the defendant, Karen Read,) is guilty, so naturally, the attention is on Karen Read. Trials aren't memorial services. While achieving justice for the victim and the bereaved is the ultimate goal, there's no justice in a person being wrongfully convicted just because some people don't like her, or just because she's embracing the attention to help prove her innocence. What do people expect her to do? Sit there and cry while she's being wrongfully accused and her boyfriend's murderers sit in the courtroom intimidating the jurors? Strong women build foundations out of the bricks being thrown at them. We don't use our emotions to manipulate. We don't claim victim status. We speak in strength and present EVIDENCE, just as Karen Read's team did.
Sadly, the botched investigation made real justice impossible in the case. The attention is on the wrongfully accused, exactly where it should be until the real perpetrators are charged. I won't convict someone for smiling in relief or smiling when the people persecuting her are proven wrong. I won't fault someone for giggling when something is ridiculous or for celebrating when she isn't convicted of a crime she didn't commit. Karen's fight to prove her innocence is also a fight to get real justice for Officer John Okeefe. I believe Paul and his mom are struggling to come to terms with the fact that the people they've been surrounded by aren't friends. I think they know deep down and are misdirecting thier pain and anger toward Karen. The Okeefe's and every other innocent person who has been destroyed by John's passing will continue to be in my prayers.

Her boyfriend has been gone for over two years now, she has mourned, so because she is living her life you all find what ever you can to make her look bad! There’s no definite proof that she killed him….and yes the one killed is the victim….but that doesn’t give you the right to convict the wrong person. Just because the brother may feel she did it…doesn’t mean she did. Those people he was hanging out with could have done it…..or it could have been a complete accident that no one realized had happened…..but you shouldn’t act like she’s guilty when there’s no absolute proof that she did it.
