"Keep this girl with you." Beautiful. Pau's drumming is frenetic! Yet always controlled. Evolve, Dull Knives, Disciple, many others...incredible. And then she breaks your heart with that glorious raspy voice on Black Holes. Wonderful tribute.👏
She will eventually be named when people are listing the greatest ever. She is already on par with the likes of Moon and Grohl and she's just getting started. With so many years ahead of her, she may actually go down in history as the best ever.
Pau is AWESOME! Like her sisters they are dedicated to being the best at what they do! She and her sisters are special and I have become so attached to them. Much love. ❤️❤️❤️
I just ran across this by accident and oh my..... This was so amazing, so well done, and so touching! Thank you for putting it together and for sharing it. I love these girls and the more I see and heard them the more I love them!
I believe it was their last 2020 concert in Mexico ( before the Covid shut down) where her seat/stool gave out at the end of 'Survive' . It was posted on Instagram. She was literally balancing on 1 leg while kicking the bass drum with the other, because she had moved herself too far away from the drumset. And all the while still swinging those sticks overhand, never missing a beat. She ended up breaking most of the drum set loose from their mounts by the time the song was done.
Well done and it says all that I and all of us Paulina fans feel in our hearts. I especially love the last part where you remind Paulina to "keep the girl" in her heart. I always say in comments that I hope they keep the wonder, surprise, and sheer fun they have doing what they do and toward their fans, even when they are well established. They are so fun to watch and listen to, it brightens the day.
Beautiful Tribute to a Beautiful Soul Within a Beautiful Band with 2 Equally Beautiful Soul's/Sister's. Love The Warning !!! over the pond here in Perth Australia 🙃
I am impressed about the Warning, I am impressed about every Villarreal girl, and I am so impressed about Paula, the drummer! She is fantastic! Her drumming style, i know only one man, his name was Keith Moon, the WHO drummer /R. I. P./! She is a singing drummer. It's not so much singing dummers in the world....
couldn't agree more, i was about to cry for some reason, this is literally fit to be played at her funeral as well its that good- and oh my you made me realise that i like her for her passion as well as her talent, her talent is soo humungous you kind of forget shes having the time of her life out there too
Fantastic. I want every next birthday to be better than the best. The Most talented female drummer in Mexico and probably the world. How many fabulous female drummers I see on RUclips can, while drumming, sing lead vocals, write their own lyrics accompanying themselves on the keyboard? How many I ask? Pau, take care of yourself, break all the drumsticks you want but not your fingers.
That was so freaking awesome!!! That Cobus cover - that move there. I call that the "Octopus" because it literally looks like she's playing with 8 arms. But the vibrating stage when playing. OMG! I saw some clips here I've never seen before as well. So freaking awesome!!!
I've never seen a drummer that into the music before. And, I saw RUSH at Radio City Music Hall in the 80s, and Neil Peart was amazing, but he didn't play with the heart and soul Paulina does. And when it comes to vocals, the acoustic version of The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade) showcases how incredible she is.
I agree with everything you said Kev ! She is a totally uniqe performer / artist ! The "Pau-er" she has ! I mean at shows, she has broken sticks ( a lot of them !), her drum stool, cymbol stands and her finger ! I remeber one performance where she almost pounded her cymbol stands off the drum podium, stage crew had to ducktape them to the floor between songs ! No one expects a litte girl like her to be that powerful, and to play with such passion ! It's really true what they say...powerful stuff comes in small packages ! And I also recall a quote from an interview "The Tom Tom Magazine" did with her when she was 12 yo. She said; "The most impotant thing is to play beacause you love it !" That's very wise words coming from a 12 yo. And you can tell that she does exactly that ! She dosen't do it for anyone else. She does what she does beacause she loves it, and for no other reason ! And we love her for that !
Great Tribute... You Can Only Hope To Contain Her... Which That Is Not Possible !!!!! It has been awesome to watch the development of all the girls over the last 2 years... Happy Birthday !!!! And As Always.... Paulina PUH PAU .... !!!!
correct me if i'm wrong but for the Kelly Clarkson song, it was very difficult to learn and it took her a whole year but without that crossover technique. her dad recorded her playing it and it was ready to be uploaded to youtube, but then he found a Cobus video teaching that crossover technique. so instead of just uploading the video that already took her so long to learn, she learned that new technique first and then recorded it again but this time with the crossover and that's what got uploaded and got millions of views
One thing I have noticed about her.... she's a human metronome. Just like Ringo. The biggest battle for aspiring garage bands, is a drummer that keeps time. Trust me I know, X Seattle musician here. The 90"s in Seattle was great. These girls have a real chance. Real chance. Lil Ale was the same size as her base when the Warning formed. Tooooo dang cute! But wow..... I feel like a proud older Uncle watching them. Big smile, a happy misty eye, I'm proud of them. I dont presume to know them, but still proud.
I tweeted the band to wish Pau a Happy Birthday earlier this evening. Belated, but, at least... The vid is a cool idea 👍 Interestingly, she once cited Ringo as wanting to be as good as he. And one cannot separate those drums from that beautiful bass.
2:03 I know how to say "Paulina" (and the other sisters, Daniela and Alejandra) in the, you know, way it's supposed to be said... But I still (even after her saying it) haven't got a freaking clue on how to pronounce Villarreal correctly... Haha. I'll just continue pronouncing it "Villa re ull" in my stupid North-western American voice and accent even though obviously it's totally wrong... lmao
Haha yeah, I just wish I actually knew how to say it authentically... I mean, I say all 3 sister's voices with an accent, as to actually pronounce them the way they're meant to, and then there's the last name... So I say like "Alejandra" (with the accent) and then I just say "Villa Re Ull" in a not at all authentic voice at all... lmao. I really have to learn how to pronounce it, but I tell ya it ain't gonna be from Paulina herself, haha.
"Keep this girl with you." Beautiful.
Pau's drumming is frenetic! Yet always controlled. Evolve, Dull Knives, Disciple, many others...incredible. And then she breaks your heart with that glorious raspy voice on Black Holes. Wonderful tribute.👏
Many Happy Returns of the Day beloved Pau! From kiddie player to a Rockin' Drum Princess! We love you Pau!
Why do I want to cry watching this video?? It is so freakin beautiful Pau should watch this.

Thank you for your birthday tribute to Paulina. It's how I feel about Pau, but you put it into amazing words and combined with cool video. Thanks.

Nice job, man!! Pau is definitely a force to be reckoned with. And... AND... she's part of the best rock and roll band on the earth!!!

The stage is rocking
So many attributes here that point to a long and successful career. Greatness.
Paulina is totally phenomenal. Totally awesome!

Snoiz Yes She Is Very PAU ER FUL.... PUH PAU !!
Hell yeah, she's no joke.... or that other video, where she takes off her shoes while playing, without missing a beat.
Pau-er!! She's got that for sure! I like to call her Ka-Pau! A 5 foot bucket of dynamite and so talented.
One of the reason who she plays hard is because she always had an adult drum set
little Princess
Very nice tribute to a multi-talented artist! Happy Birthday Pau.
sweet message for a Princess Paulina
Great Tribute... You Can Only Hope To Contain Her... Which That Is Not Possible !!!!! It has been awesome to watch the development of all the girls over the last 2 years... Happy Birthday !!!!
