I've been saying this all year. Look I love G1 Optimus, but can we get a little more variety. Like Galaxy Convoy, Energon. How about some other characters, like Smokescreen, Repugnus, Thunderhowl, Wildwheel. Hell I'll settle for some repaints of figures that are hard to get like 07 Jazz in classic or Smokescreen deco, 07 Ironhide in red, 07 Bumblebee in red for Cliffjumper. But no, here's another G1 Optimus Prime.
Like I said, I love Prime as well but I agree with you. I'm hoping next year when the 40th anniversary is over they layoff a bit with Optimus. We'll get some in the new toyline but if we get any others I'd like to see an Energon or Cybertron Prime that's the same quality as the Armada. Like you're saying we don't need anymore G1 Primes for awhile. I still can't believe I said that lol!
Personally I’m all set on G1 Prime figures after the 86 which I think is perfect, but I like that the Devastation one exists for people who want a G1 cartoon looking prime at a cheaper price point. Like how Gundam does more affordable and simpler entry grade kits. I’m not a completionist though so I get why they would be burned out but at the same time that comes with the territory of completionism.
That is a great perspective. Here's a question. Would you like to see a reinvented mainline that encompasses not only whatever movie/show it's promoting but get things like the Devastation Prime rather than it take up a spot in the collector oriented lines?! My thought is that the mainlines are crammed with a lot of cheap crappy toys and while they cost less, it seems that kids don't really care for them and parents who know a bit about Transformers notice the very low quality and usually get their kids a studio series or generations figure. I'm talking about things like the one step changers. So if say a decent figure like a Devastation Prime were in that line for say like 20 dollars then it'd be more appealing all the way around. I'm using the Devastation Optimus as an example because of course I don't know it's true quality yet, but it doesn't look like it's going to be what should be studio series quality.
@@MoonBase84-gl2eh Yeah I think that would be a great option going forward. The few modern Mainline figures I’ve gotten are a serious drop in quality compared to everything else out now and even the one step changers are a downgrade compared to something like Animated’s Activators. If this prime was in mainline it would completely revitalize it.
@@mr.person4517 Funny you mention Activators. I was thinking on doing a video about addressing the mainline and was going to mention if they still want to do easier transforming toys they should ditch the 1 steps and go back to Activators. They were much better.
Lol! True but what I don't want to see is Hasbro just throwing whatever out there. Especially at the cost of being able to produce other characters. I hope they continue giving us quality Primes like they have been if they are going to release so many.
I love Prime but what I don't want is Hasbro to just pump out lower quality Prime toys just to get new toys out. The leaked Devastation Optimus looks like it could be the start of that trend. I'm an Optimus collector so I'll most likely get him but the images don't get me excited for it. If it turns out to be exclusive like is being speculated I won't go out of my way to get it. The great thing about Transformers is there is something for every fan's taste.
The Way I See It If You Missing Out Or A Optimus Prime You Looking Forward Other Then G1 I Down For It
I would like them to give us a new Energon or Cybertron Prime. The new Armada Prime is awesome.

@@SourRobo8364 you know we are gonna get both Energon and Galaxy Convoy sooner or later. Just a gotta be patient.
You're definitely right about that.

What about him?
@@MoonBase84-gl2eh he has a whole playlist of 3rd party optimus prime reviews
That's cool.
