I can def see how you see it that way, but holding a smile/laughing even when you don't feel like it can help make you happier. Obviously, it's not to undermine any struggles, and not to suggest that you should just fake happiness, but fake laughing can lead to real laughter, especially with the inherent awkwardness of the whole thing.
