  • We all have intrusive thoughts, but when you have OCD those thoughts get stuck in your head. They get loud and constant and are hard to ignore. So how is someone meant to get any relief from OCD and these thoughts?
    It is often the opposite of what you may think. OCD wants you to argue with it. It wants you to feed it with OCD compulsions. It wants you to grow it with mental compulsions. It wants you to overthink and over process these bad thoughts.
    But the way to handle intrusive thoughts is the opposite of what most people think. You have to beat OCD at it’s own game.
    In this week’s youtube video, I am teach people how to handle intrusive thoughts and get their life back again.
    This video is for educational purposes only and is not intended to replace the guidance of a qualified professional.

    We have these thoughts/images for various reasons, because we hate them, because we are disgusted by them or because we are afraid of the seeing them. Every time we try to avoid them or push them away they show up more. They're not in our minds because we want them. It's actually the complete opposite.

    • @flambojr.4235
      @flambojr.4235 3 года назад +29

      Gut/brain inflammation (caused by inflammatory foods) causes anxiety, which leads to more ocd. Lowering that will lower the thoughts. It is really hard to get out of the ocd cycle unless you fix the inflammation problem. Also, don't treat them as if they're real/physical cuz they're definitely not. Your heart is in the right place, so don't worry.

      @@flambojr.4235 I've been struggling with intrusive thoughts and ocd for 6 months now, and I still cant seem to let my thoughts pass without attaching myself to them. You mentioned having a certain diet that helped you, I was wondering if you could go more into detail on that, do you eat vegan or alkaline or do you still consume animal products? ✌💫

    • @flambojr.4235
      @flambojr.4235 3 года назад +6

      I basically avoid anything inflammatory. Anything proven to cause inflammation in studies, as well as things I know that trigger me. So I avoid;
      1. All Milk
      2. Fried foods
      3. Artificial Sugar
      4. Green tea
      5. Non-organic foods
      6. Coffee
      7. Eggs
      8. Pineapple/Papaya (Damages gut in excess)
      9. Really spicy foods
      I know for a fact these things caused me terrible ocd attacks. Ever since the change I haven't suffered one. 👍 I still eat most meats and vegetables. Potatos have irritants on the skin so check if they bother you, I'm still unsure myself. Changing the way you handle thoughts are a must too. You have to see these thoughts as the opposite of what you want. If you see/hear (ocd.thought) it's because you oppose and don't agree with it (that's the reason why they are in mind). Just acknowledge they're there cuz you're afraid and disturbed by them. 🍀

    • @flambojr.4235
      @flambojr.4235 3 года назад +4

      @@alana.m6850 If you do try the diet change I recommend doing a 16-21 hour fast to lower your current inflammation after. Take a magnesium glycinate supplement before the fast. Treat your body like a forest. Inflammation is the fire that leaves destruction even after being put out. Exercise and fasting helps rebuild. You should be able to drastically reduce the intensity of the thoughts. Hope it helps. My ocd started when I was 19 and at 21 it is mostly controlled. 😊

Our brains are so powerful and losing control of your thoughts is a bit like dying a little on the inside. It's horrible. You gave me hope though. And all those comments that say they are doing better, it gives hope. It can change. We can start living and breathing again soon.

      Pippa, If negative thoughts affect your internal physical health visit a good psychologist. Heal yourself with determination. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety-stress. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. During your daily activity keep observing your breath consciously. Do the above meditation daily to feel relaxed. For more healing enter the following on google search “528 Hz affirmations for health and healing you tube”” and listen for 10 minutes before sleep. Repeat softly in the mind. You will get relief quickly. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

    Wow, so good. I am 24 and love the Lord and I have been in counseling the past month, and we are learning that I am showing concerning signs for intrusive thoughts OCD and it gives me a lot of clarity and hope because it can be really isolating and entrapping when going to friends for advice and you’re processing is way different and you walk away feeling less encouraged than you did walking into the conversation. Being Christian and having intrusive thoughts can be really hard too. So if you are curious about yourself and thinking, please reach out to a counselor with some history on this. Because without it, I wouldn’t have been able to research, find videos, get clarity that I’m NOT CRAZY. and so on.

      Hello. Your intrusive thought is actually what u fear the most its not a thought you like or you wouldn't be here. Only thoughts that are the opposite of yourself make you angry and sad hence why u are here. 90% of people get intrusive thoughts but either don't speak about them or just ignore them but yourself have gave them energy so they will always come while u give them that. Like trying to get to sleep while thinking about how u need to get to sleep or else u will be tired and all these things can go wrong as a result. When that happens u make sleeping near impossible cause u give it your full intension. Try not avoiding your thoughts but actively thinking about them in the worst way. It's hard but the more u do it the more u realise this is not my real way of thinking this is just a meaningless thought I have given far too much power and time. Keep thinking it until that really sets in and then in time when that thought appears your brain won't trigger that panic like it would because your brain will be used to this garbage thought u have given it time to realise its just a thought that means nothing

    I've recently been dealing with harm OCD with very vivid images and thoughts saying "do it." It sucks big time. OCD thoughts are just a counterfeit, they're not real and inviting them to be there without interaction certainly destroys its power. Making a mockery of the thoughts is kind of entertaining in its own way. May as well have fun with it.

    I deal with anxiety & I think I get frustrated & start having some disturbing thoughts. I get afraid that I will snap & do something that I really don’t want to do. It’s to the point now that my body & mind gets hot when these thoughts come up. Not a good feeling. I do my best to try to get them out my mind. Usually successful but just nervous that I’m going to lose it & harm someone that’s close to me.
