  • The National Martyrs' Monument, also known as the Jatiyo Sriti Soudho, is a national monument located in Savar, Bangladesh. It was built in memory of the individuals who sacrificed their lives during the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, which led to the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan.
Designed by architect Syed Mainul Hossain, the monument is a symbol of the nation's respect and gratitude towards the martyrs who fought for the country's sovereignty. The structure consists of seven triangular spires that symbolize the seven historic march days in March 1971, leading up to the declaration of independence. At the center of the monument, there is an eternal flame that represents the eternal spirit of the martyrs.
The National Martyrs' Monument is an important site for both locals and visitors, serving as a place of remembrance, reflection, and honor for the brave individuals who laid down their lives for the freedom of Bangladesh. It stands as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the Liberation War and the importance of preserving the nation's independence and sovereignty.
