I’m currently trying to learn a new language (Japanese) and study for medical school but all that studying usually makes me feel overwhelmed because I know how much work I still need to do. This is so helpful to find a better balance. Good luck everyone 💛
I'm a high school student...I'm trying to get used to the school rhythm because it's the first time I've been at school since the beginning of the pandemic , besides, it's been difficult to study English and Korean, play the guitar, and my main hobby is dancing, besides dancing, I have a RUclips channel for it and that complicates everything....I even dropped out of singing lessons! And I still try to read often and draw because my parents say they don't want me to use my cell phone often... I have problems with self-esteem so I try to learn pretty makeup and cool ways to do my hair. Plus, I'm a 14 high schooler...LIFE IS HARD....BUT LET'S WORK IT OUT TOGETHER

Winning the mental game is so important. Any failures must be met head on with an intense perseverance that admits that failure is not an option. Next keep track of time, as it evaporates quite rapidly! 😎
What a cop out. You're attitude is why you're not productive. Yes I have adhd. Adhd is far from debilitating. The laziness and lack of ambition justified by adhd is not an acceptable excuse. I have chrons disease too. Its not the adhd.
Can we get a video on : “How to tell your family / friends you have been feeling more depressing feelings lately, and want to talk to a professional”? It would be really helpful!😅
Yes please! So very important! The anxiety, overwelm & deep emotional distress, or discouragement that exacerbates depression resulting in further dispondancy & unhealthy isolation, more like feeling deeply flawed as a person, alienation, either by non-acceptance by those around or self-imposed. This can be just around reaching out & needing to be heard when ppl around may not be understanding or may not be aware of the issues involved. It can really keep a person stuck & feeling isolated at a time when they know they need support & help their mental illness. We KNOW when our mindset needs addressing & healing... it's just too heavy. You can't bear it alone anymore or its going to wear you down until you feel crippled inside & literally "disabled" from "fixing" yourself. There is healing & growth for everyone, believe it even if you feel its too enormous to do. Sometimes loved ones can want to "fix" it for you, which is beautiful, but you have to find your path, having ppl to support you makes a big difference.
I hope you're doing ok there Dear FluffyPerson. Your name makes me smile, so thanks for that. I needed that warm fuzzy vibe right now. If you need to talk, I'll listen & support you. You got this & anything else that may come along on your road. It rarely runs super smooth but we can get past the bumps (or boulders) by keeping on going, moving forward however we can, sometimes it feel like barely a crawl & then at other times we make big, tangible improvements that help to propel us faster than we ever expected to. Eventually, with perseverence & self-kindness, we find ourselves feeling better enough to see that the slow crawl, as well as the leaps find you in a different place. A more fulfilling & substantially less painful existance, until we find we've somehow gotten ourselves to a place we can actually live as we wanted but thought too distant... Where we can live authentically happily. It took time to get tonthe point of needing to heal, it takes at least as long to recover. There's a song by the band Future Islands called Balance. I listen to it regularly to remind me. Has great optimistic energy that I find a sense of "yeah, I can do this. It just takes time. Trust myself". Maybe it'll resonate with you too. All the best to you FluffyPerson 😄❤️
when i need a little motivation i think of the result. like doing laundry. the result is that you get clean clothes. that keeps me motivated even if i don’t like doing things the result is always what i’m working towards to
i do most of this expect 2 which are number 7 and 11, but you cant be perfect. i actually do not use the pomodoro technique(because its too short for me to keep concentration), instead i work for a hour and take a 10-15 minute break, which i actually am doing now. before i start doing something like studying i hide everything like my phone, the book im reading, something im drawing etc. I also created a before routine to slowly get into the thing im doing. i write what i will do during the day and when it will happen (but sometime i have to cancel due to weather). have a good day, to whoever read this (this took all the time out my break lol but it was worth it :D)

Video idea: for earth day it would he cool to see a vid on how nature and our environment affects our psyche, and how having a relationship or connection with nature can help
Does listening to music whilst doing work count as multitasking? I don’t necessarily focus on the music but I listen to it for about 10-12 hours a day cause it helps me block out external distractions.
I feel like it helps a lot with blocking noise especially when u have a noisy, dysfunctional family I would even say AirPods are the best for that cuz they have a noise cancellation feature that works really well and they’re just so useful and sometimes the music does help if it’s relaxing or comforting, encouraging etc
I have a love hate relationships with some of your videos.... I love, but also hate how accurate they are (hate in the best way possible, of course). A lot of your videos are accurate to the point that it's a bit scary (including this one). In short, I love your videos, they have helped me a lot, thank you so much for making them, keep it up. Love ya Psych2Goers
I'd love to see a video (or multiple) about serial monogomists, how to identify if you are one, if someone you know is one, and healthy relationship habits around it. Please.
For me it's to have deadline for absolutely everything but make sure the consequences is scary enough to force myself to do the chores because I got untouched laundry of my pants that I only wear at home. I only wash my work clothes and abandon my home clothes because no deadline. I don't clean my room because no deadline. I don't do the dishes often because no deadline.
Omgg with the making fewer decisions thing… for the last 5 years I’ve been wearing literally the exact same thing, jeans and a school/souvenir kind of loose t shirt. And always wore my hair in a single braid no makeup or jewelry or nothing lol. this month I got a drastically shorter haircut was like damn I gotta change my wardrobe, I’m tired of wearing the same stuff, and man is it much more difficult :(
Instead of chasing perfection, go for progress. Many situations in life will allow this. Even times when situations require control like a medical setting, it's not entirely reliant on one person either. Safeguards exist when close to perfection or perfection is needed.
By focusing on chemistry and trying to make mor breakthroughs in medical science they can take all the credit I really don’t care as long as I can contribute I would’ve volunteered for this instead they wanted a movie
