I was wondering does it really makes the grain superior in terms of nutrition after all that long proces of turning grain seeds into sprouts? Or is it just the same? 😂
@@amoschinoz You don't need to teach me the math as i don't really care about the added water weight 😂 what i was asking was whether it really adds more nutrient (protein, carbs, fat, fiber) by growing the grain into sprouts? If not then you are just wasting time and resources 😂

If you did it yourself & you already had the building & didn’t opt for buying into their control station interface & tracking software, then it would be substantially less. $7-10K (US) without building and software. $30-40K with. It’s a wide variable of costs depending on your knowledge level in creating thermostatic controls.
This type of growth can be done in other environments. A gentleman in Africa grows in a shed with door and windows. A farm in Utah has a large shed with tremendous airflow.
I am sure that all tastes good to a herbivore, but how nutritious is it? What is the hydroponic water? There is only so much protein and micronutrients in a seed. If you feed just that to a cow, I think you would be starving it slowly. Without all the nutrients that are found in full grown field grasses, you would just be feeding a cow a tasty snack, all the while, depleting it of minerals and vitamins a plant would get from the ground and natural sunlight. I think your farm animals would get sick if that is all they ate.
I always thought that if these fodder companies wanted to actually sell more of these systems. They'd actually simply do ASMR fodder feeding videos mixed with a bit of hay or straw or something. few hundred of these munchie videos people would actually realize this exist. There's a lot more herbivore pets these days like guinea pigs and bunnies.
Google fodder growing system. I was a bit surprised initially, but then found some cheaper systems. If you read the product descriptions, you may be able to find it cheaper somewhere else or assemble on your own. There is a video of a guy on Aftica, that has a very simple system. Metal trays, not plastic.
In asia, we eat bean sprouts from mung beans and they sell for SGD$6.60/kg. So if that self container can produce 386kg daily, it should bring in about $2,550/per harvest. Especially in land scarce place like Singapore, this will be a good strategy.
We also have this microgreens for sale in Russia. but 1) No one buys it 2) Keep in mind that as long as the product reaches the buyer from the manufacturer, its price will increase by 100 times...
Why do you use such an scpensive light system. Once I produced grass even at home without directly sun light and it worked great. When you have windows which let the daylight in it is enough.
We get it from a seed distributor in Montana, USA, and all growing occurs in this container. One day in the hopper to clean the seeds and break their dormancy, 6 days in the trays.
I am from Cambodia. I daydream about this stuff, the big thanks for bringing it to reality!
What life stock are you feeding in Cambodia
you make me so hopeful :D we have 7 years of drought on the way in Australia.. maybe more. This is a nice way to keep growing and to ignore the heat..
In New Zealand it feels like we have too much rain and too many floods. We should sell our rain to Australia.

From 1kg of barley grain you get 7-8kg of fodder. You can do the maths

We've never tried, but it's possible. You might use a different grain than barley though.

Nice, just want to know what should be the water ph or TDS. And can I use organic wasted decomposer liquid for good nutrition value.
pH is around 6-7. We don't use any nutrients in our system, but you can use decomposer liquid if you want to.
