Just to clarify: when I say do the math/put it in your calculator I mean multiply the numerator (top numbers), then multiply your denominator (bottom numbers). Then divide the numerator total by the denominator total.
😳 I cannot believe it- I finally understand it!! You are the only one that explains in detail, breaks it down- I was so happy at the end when I tested myself !!! Thank you love! 💓
You're a lifesaver! been feeling so discouraged trying to go back to school, and dimensional analysis hasn't been clicking! its making so much more sense now!
I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS FOR THE LONGEST AND THIS BEGINNING STEPS HAS HELPED ME SO MUCH. WATCHING SECOND VIDEO TO LEARN MORE YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER THANK YOU DO MUCH FOR THIS!!
im in my first year of nursing school and I'm having a terribly hard time with doseages. i combed through youtube for an hour looking for a video that was simple and to the point. This was it! thank you so very much. subscribed.
I have been instructed to set up equations the same way, however its not always so easy when professors are inconsistent while solving problems. Thank you, for providing us with steps that were EXACTLY the same, your precision and consistency is what I needed. Thank you so much.
Just so that you know you leave out a step at the endo f every problem with the multiplying and dividing so for new students trying to understand it can get confusing at the end of the problem. But for the most part great teaching and thanks for the info.
Dear thatnursingprof, Thank you VERY much for the way that you explained this concept. I struggled with dimensional analysis in nursing school. Thank you so very much.
Finally stumbled upon a gem of a video 😭 even after three years, it taught me more than most recent ones! Your explanations made everything click, and I'm truly grateful to have found your channel. Your energy reminded me of a Pokémon, and that's a compliment! Thank you for your fantastic work! 😊
Can you just divide 125mcg by 250mcg I feel like that converting what you have into what needs to be administered is easier but I don’t know if that will always work. That would have given 0.5 which I know in a fraction is 1/2
I'm sorry, I don't understand. At the start, you express "1 tablet = 0.5mg" by writing it as "1 tablet / 0.5 mg". Isn't this supposed to mean "1 tablet divided by 0.5mg"? Is this a special way of expressing things within dimensional analysis? I'm having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around this
I’m not sure how you are getting .5 you’re the showing the steps to get there, all you say is this cancels out and this cancels out, didn’t really help me
Just to clarify: when I say do the math/put it in your calculator I mean multiply the numerator (top numbers), then multiply your denominator (bottom numbers). Then divide the numerator total by the denominator total.
God bless you! this was extremely helpful
Thank you!! I was wondering why I was getting the wrong answer.
I was really wondering also.
so its multiply across then?
yes@@pianotnt

I agree

i am so confused because she doesnt explain it
Doctor of Pharmacy student here, and this is precise and concise!!
Getting the basics down is essential to succeeding with dimensional analysis.
So far this has been the only video I have been able to understand step by step. Starting nursing school soon...Thanks!
Keep up the good work, thank you for helping all us nursing students feel more confident in this subject
Wow! I really needed help with dosage and this really helps me better understand!!!

Great video! And so easy to understand. I take the TEAS on Feb. 25 and am brushing up on my math. Wish me luck🙏✍
good luck!
You taught this very well. Thank you for your help. 🙂
You made it so easy for me and I did well on my exam , thanks a lot .
perfect! was afraid but am getting confident. Looking forward to the 3 step video!
You are GIFTED! Thank you for everything!
You are a very talented teacher! Thank you for sharing this helpful video.
Thank you so much your teaching helped me gain good knowledge of the topic. I am very grateful
hi! Super helpful video. Question, how would you write this specific set up as a formula in dimensional analysis? Thank you!!
Following
You’re awesome! You made this so easy to understand. Thank you!!
Very educative . Professor , could you please send me the link to the 3 steps dose calculation for dimensional analysis method
There was an error in that video, I took it down and remade it. I will be uploading the correct version tomorrow 🙂
I love that her whiteboard writing is crooked.
Thank you!!! That was very informative. I'm going to pass my chemistry class with an A:)
How did she get 3 for the first answer? What am I missing? I wish she would have went through the calculations step by step.
She divided 1.5/0.5
Thank you so much
New Subie Here! Thank you so much for taking the time to help us understand this concept! The 💡 in my mind just turned on! ❤
Yay!
Thank you for this video! It helped me a lot!
Can you do a video with pedi, units, calculation
This was very very helpful for me
For initial setup is it supply, amt ordered, then conversion if needed?
My ADHD won’t let me listen to this video until she rewrites that question straight across😂🤣😂🤣😂🎄💚❤️
Great refresher video.
literally love you thanksssssss

Thanks so much !
Thank You So MUCH!!!!
Wow I do this now
Great teaching!!
Thank you prof
Thank you for this! Subscribed
AppreciAte it God bless you❤
Great video do you have one about medication reconstitution?
No but I can make one
Your great at teaching!
Thank you
You are Awesome! Do not change a thing! Love the way you explain things and point things out.
Thank you
w0w!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it a special way of writing with dimensional analysis.
I'm slow because I still don't even know how you got 3 on the first problem 😂

That's the dosage of the tablet
@@rosaliekuhn1987 I agree. Please do the math to the very end. The answer seems assumed, not calculated.
🤦🏿♀️me too
Ok
Where you put the second 1, it’s supposed to be X. X is the unknown. You’re solving for X tablets. Teach the students how to solve for X.
