We will check out that trail next time. I might be mistaken but I believe that the state park is a little further down the road. I always check apps like Airmaps and it said that there weren't any flight restrictions at that spot.
@@LiveThatAdventure the parking lot and the 380 or so acres of grassland beyond the new house and west of the highway is all Estero Bluffs State Park. The no drone zone is a posted order to prevent harassment of animals and the overall experience of visitors. It's not an official FAA no fly zone yet, but we're working on it. I could tell you the whole tale of the boat (I was one of the first on scene) but it's a long story. Suffice it to say it ran aground and no one was hurt. The boat is now under the jurisdiction of the State Lands Commission and will probably be there indefinitely. It is very picturesque at night.
@@johnsayers870 Well shoot. Thank you for the correction! We do our best to play by the rules. We will definitely leave it at home next time :) Thank you for the glympse into its story :)
@@stephanief3907 none of the trails have names or signs. If you're at the parking lot, head west (up coast). Don't go towards the interpretive panel, go between the boulders and to the other side of the drainage. Most people would say north, but the coast is turned there so go to the right if you're looking at tge water
Never hike in flip flops. One slip or twisted ankle and you will be in pain with a swollen or worse injury to the ankle or other body part for weeks. It is not worth taking the risk.
Thank you for this video. Added to my list.
Glad you enjoyed it! It is a fun stop when traveling up the coast.
Good one close to home!
Have you ever been there?
@@LiveThatAdventure yeah, you can catch good rockfish around that thing at high tide.
@@The-Sound-Explorer nice and I'm assuming you got the cookies too? Living close to that place would be super bad for the diet 😂
there is one tuna ship wrecked down in baja near ensenada called Vicmar if you want i can give you a tour someday
That sounds awesome! We will let you know if we are in the area 😁👍
take the trail to the right and the access is much easier than if you walk straight to it. and no drones in the State Park please!

@John Sayers, Can you share the name of the trail to the right? We'd like to try an easier access to the boat :) Bad ankles haha. Thanks!

I know the person who wrecked the boat. He was drunk and hi, fell asleep at the helm.
I know the actual story lol
We would love to hear it!
@@LiveThatAdventure I'm having dinner tomorrow with someone who can tell it in greater detail than I. I'll let you know haha
@@prestonryan3734 awesome! Thank you!

I wouldnt really call this much of a hike, but you are right and that little hill down to the boat was pretty slippery.
