Good intro for a non viewer of the show. For someone watching from this specific channel, could be cool to see examples of say the multi-cam options at their disposal and how shot selection can/does change a scene. Doubt they are using it yet but wonder if there are any AI tools coming or here that could help such a process. Fishes episode was one of the best examples of the influence and power of editing for tv and film.
The way it was edited is truly genuine, and there are certain things that can't be taught. The conceptual aspect of the editing that makes this series so unique is exceptionally well done. Every feature in Premiere, as seen in this video, makes perfect sense, and I personally use them in my daily editing routine. Congratulations on the series, and to Adobe for promoting these kinds of videos, allowing us to hear from the editors who work their magic.
i'm a video editor and had no idea that some big shows were edited on premiere really! i've been editing for almost a decade and totally agree with what these editors think of premiere. how does one find a job like this? i'd love to be in a sort of production similar one day.
What an iconically chaotic episode - thank you for highlighting the editors' work in making "Fishes" so terrific!
They really do a fantastic job on that show. It's really good on all fronts.
Always great to see Joanna and Adam's creative input into the show celebrated, send them our love!
@EditingPodcast they do amazing things!

This is great. I use Resolve, but this is still great.

start building a demo reel. Edit anything you can and put it on there.
Fantastic insight to one of the best shows in so many ways, but especially from an editing perspective. Very inspiring, thank you 🙏
@PaulRandles-editspace201 Thank you for the kind words!
I feel like this needs to be labeled as an ad...
For what? Premiere?💀
This taught nothing apart from "multicam feature save time blah blah be creative".
As of multicam isn’t in all other editing programs haha
>behind the edit
>only mentions a fundamental feature that exists in every professional video editing software in the history of mankind
we learn nothing there ^^just an ad where we see the screen of the editors from 3/4 angles but nice ad !
Amazing
