From a Lego iteration of PlayStation's Horizon series, to a Quidditch game set within the world of Harry Potter, here is everything announced at Geoff Keighly's Summer Game Fest 2024.

With how Triple A games are doing right now I'm not surprised its mostly indie games now. Which aint a bad thing, more creative games with unique gameplay for a much cheaper price.

@@krisv1038 there were like 4 new games anmounced, the rest were preivously announced with barely amy gameplay, so many of the trailers were either cutscenes or just the d key being held down and the surroundings changing around them changing

To everyone that complaints why there are more indie and less triple A, well last year is the year for triple A because of all the games they developed since the pandemic are delayed and released only last year. This year is the year that are much more relaxing on triple A front, which brings all these wonderful indies to be in the spotlight, and they deserve that too. Indies had been creatively high each year, and they had proved that games are much more than high-end graphics. I'm looking forward to all the games showcased here and wishing them all the best of luck!

Weird....did anyone else notice that a lot of the splash screens in this summary video omit xbox/pc as platforms? Despite the fact that a lot of the games are coming to xbox and pc, some even on Game Pass and the official trailers show the full list of platforms (Kunitsu-Gami for example shows PS5/PS4 only)

It's no wonder big companies spend so much money acquiring intellectual property after seeing these ridiculous comments about how bad this showcase was. So many interesting looking games and people just want more from franchises they already know.
It's a ridiculous presumption. People dont want "franchises they already know", they just want something other, than indie junk, that no one's interested in. For me - indies are about taking risks and experimenting with new concepts. There was MAYBE a couple of those, that were somewhat original. If I'll want dry boring crap like that - i'll go buy a ubisoft game

Mx expectations weren't too high from the start but they showed Sonic x Shadow Generations, Skate and Monster Hunter, so the Summer Game Fest was better than expected for me 🤔🙂.

Surprising how many games i'm looking forward to in this presentation, compared to last year's VGA that was a slog... Quidditch Champions, Civ 7, The First Descendant, Enotria, Monster Hunter Wilds, Slitherhead, Black Myth Wukong, Dune Awakening, Space Marine 2, KCD 2. That's alot!
