Yes and no. I do because it's cheap but other saxes, I mean vintage ones with a bad reputation can do the job maybe better for the same price or less with a focussed sound. Even if the sound is quite open, the high register is not so pleasant, it's often out of tune. Springs are weak and the instrument is heavy. So I do and I don't at the same time. It's a decent instrument but if you try others you will find it's got some little problems. Now I've got an Amati Super Classic, it's different, the sound is less open, a bit brighter but it can be dark, the Thomann stays dark. I hope I answered your question.
