This also has been happening in porsche cup at spa. on lap one while everyone is bunched up I have seen people cut the chiance after the radion. they gain tons of positions and because its lap 1 and everyone is slow they dont lose time.
@SimracingPC yeah, that's a problem. However, I did just watch highlights from a GT Endurance race at Monza where drivers were exploiting the same opportunities IRL...
@SimracingPC chatting with the rest of our team, if you haven't yet done so, please, for the benefit of everyone else, raise it with iRacing support. One of our drivers discovered a similar issue with the escape road at the bus stop chicane on the new Spa. He raised it with them, and I believe it may have already been patched to ensure proper slowdowns are applied. It was about a 4s lap time gain using the escape road, as you didn't have to slow down much to clear the slowdown penalty clock.
To be a simulator the game actually need to let you do this, so it simulates real life drivers that do this! He can be penalized if he gets caught and the rules clearly say it's not legal, just like irl. F1 driver's always exploit what they can and fia change rules for next race.
There's already a comment saying he shouldn't play this game blablablá... But max is doing exploits since he started and we love him. Sometimes FIA needs to make new rules, because to stop him and others. And sometimes it takes lots of races to implement. My point is drivers should always try to win, testing limits, and rules need to adapt and be implemented.
You should make a video about stuff that happens IRL that doesn't happen in game because game ethic is utopian and doesn't allow the game to simulate real life drivers exploits. Expectations vs reality.
Update: The driver has been disqualified. Hopefully iracing will fix this issue in a future update.
I saw your Reddit post and shared it with some friends. iRacing definitely needs to fix this.

Our Driver got a DQ from this race, its no exploit. We talked with him and will not happen again
What would you call it then?
@@SimracingPC It's only an exploit if you can get away with it. If you get DQ'd then it's not an exploit, is it?
@@CamTooling You only get a DQ after the race if somebody reports you for doing that. So in my opinion it is an exploit, what do you think?
@@SimracingPC now you mention that, I guess it is an exploit of sorts, especially if the game doesn't force the driver to slow down
That's definitely an exploit, embarrassment of a driver to be doing that.
Did you not get any slowdowns for these corner cuts? If you send an email to iRacing support, this will be fixed very quickly.
The driver in the video (not me) only got minor slow donws. He still gained time.

The random whatsapp notification sound at 2:35 caught me.
Sorry for that :D
Wow, Ive got no words lmao. This is really weird.

@@bakerzinhoWith your logic there should be no slow downs at all ..
@@SimracingPC "He can be penalized if he gets caught and the rules clearly say it's not legal" Again, if it's in the rules, he should get penalty!!

So sad for a driver to do this.. if you can't race don't sign up
Um, who cares?
