I live in Houston, TX and used to do this drill too often! Now when I hear of a storm in the gulf, I go get anything I might need long before the bread, milk and water are gone. It helps my stress level immensely! Good luck to you all!
Thanks for such an entertaining and spontaneous video! Loved the commentary and quest for the beef stew. 😂 Way to keep your great sense of humor at the same time updating everyone on the situation there. Cracking up at Jerry's upcoming cookbook. 😂 Stay safe you guys!! 🙏🙏🙏(I never knew about hanging your bags on cart either, so thank you!) Dawn
The three best takeaways from this video: 1). Jerry offering to assist the lady in the Amigo if she needed help. 2). Jerry offering to take the shopping cart back for the lady. 3). Jerry telling the WalMart employee about the 58 cent burrito, and that there might be beef in there. There IS hope for humanity! Stay safe Jerry, Linda & Gizmo.
I enjoyed the shopping trip. It was very nice of Jerry to offer to help the lady in the mobile cart. Very kind of you. You two are something! Hope the storm doesn't do any damage to The Villages!!!
We soooo appreciate your hurricane updates. We are in Michigan hoping our house in The village of Sanibel is safe. But most of all , praying you villagers living there are safe!!🙏🙏
Plug here for Fairlife milk because it lasts longer and in your situation it might be nice to have it available. Yes it’s more expensive but more shelf stable
Thanks for the update. Just left Florida last week after visiting for 2 months scouting for places to retire. Children are in Tampa and Orlando. Praying y’all are safe.
Thank you for the update! You two are really good shoppers, I will have to try that recipe with the extreme wellness tortilla at 12:37. I like how said you will have to lock the door to eat the stew! Great job Jerry and Linda! Thanks again.
Well, I got a little dizzy looking for the Beef Stew and Burritos with you but enjoyed the trip. I'm located Southwest of you in San Antonio, FL. Keeping us all in prayer. God willing, see you after Ian.
Hi Jerry & Linda, FYI, Dollar Tree sells Gossner Farms milk. It's in the food section on the shelf. It comes in whole milk, 2%, 1%. It has a shelf life of at least six months or more. Stay safe.
What a great video Jerry and Linda! I was actually thinking about you this morning! I got home from work and there you are! I’m glad you were able to get most of everything you needed! Best of luck finding milk! It was nice to see you meeting folks that follow your channel! Maybe the fellow from North Dakota will find your channel as well. Do take care! Keep us all posted! I really hope it doesn’t com inland too far! I’m sure we all are thinking of you all! Stay Blessed through it all! Mark in Iowa.
Prayers that you will be OK, and get through this storm just fine. It's a big one. I love how you kept your sense of humor throughout all of this, and the music in this video was hilarious! It was more like a 007 movie than a shopping trip LOL! Enjoy your beef stew and burritos, and my thoughts are with you, Linda, your son in Orlando, and of course little Gizmo! 💞
Thanks for the update guys, I’m 5’7” never seen the Aisles from this height.🙂once again thinking about you two and all in the path of this, keep us up to date.
Love the music! I never knew that Walmart could be so….dramatic. Glad you’re stocked. My house in South Tampa is on it’s own. Prayers to all in the path of this thing.
Keeping all in prayer that can be affected by the storms. At least the 3 of you will be together. Some aisles full and some empty. That was so nice of you Jerry to ask the lady in the scooter if she needed assistance. Very thoughtful. Thank goodness the lines not long at the register. Did Linda go put those grapes 🍇 back? Amazing. You still have plastic bags? We buy and keep reusable bags. If stores have bags where I am in NY, it’s the handleless brown paper bags. And so thoughtful of you to take the lady’s cart back. That was crowded? Wow. Empty by NY standards. Thanks for sharing and praying all stays well.
When I visited last December, that was my grocery store! Fun to see it on film but not happy about the hurricane that is approaching. Please, please stay safe and my prayers are with you. Hold onto Gizmo! 🙏
My son, who is active duty USAF Reserves, is driving down from his Base near Niceville, FL to Orlando today to pick up his wife and their two dogs to return back to Niceville tomorrow morning. Be safe guys!
Pretty well stocked. We have lost power here in NC thrushes years, up to 3 wks. We have electric stove, so we cook on gas grill. Like camping. Good luck, batten down the hatches🤞
This is quite scary, I hope you and all residents of the affected area have enough food at home, and heed the directives should evacuation be necessary. Thank you for this update.
@@nickschirmer5900 really ? With what when the city shuts the water off or the power goes out? Really? On a campfire while it pouring down rain flooding and blowing palm trees over? Really?
You Mr Jerry shop like a bachelor God bless Linda for taking care of you... be safe down there y'all!... PS and Jerry the beef stew should be in the soup aisle brother.
Sending prayers your way. Unfortunately we had to reschedule our lifestyle visit but will be there soon. Probably after the first of the year sometime.
I should have taken my Dramamine 30 minutes prior to watching this video! Love ya. Prayers for you, my family in Brandon, Winter Haven, Leesburg, Altamonte Springs, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville.
Greetings from North Andover, Massachusetts. We love watching your show and your trip to Walmart. Please stay safe during the Hurricane and give Gizmo a big hug. I hope the hurricane is not as bad as forecasted. We are considering the Villages In the near future. Regards
Jerry and Linda please stay safe. My sister and her husband are also in the Villages and she's keeping me updated here up north. I'm glad you got your stew sorry you didn't get milk I just wanted to tell you if you need milk you should get the Fairlife milk they had it there, or powdered milk. Please stay safe keep us posted. Sending hugs and blessings.❣
Best of luck to you both! Prayers it won't be bad. We are going to get hit also here in SC but not as bad as down there but still can produce tornados and huge rains when it reaches here on Friday or Saturday.
I don't buy prepared milk anymore. I use powdered milk. After I mix it up, I put it in a glass bottle and refrigerate, I can't tell the difference, and it has saved me so much money not throwing out expired milk and always having milk on hand for cooking and baking.
Love your video. This video made my day. A wonderful diversion from watching the storm updates and stressing about what’s coming our way. Thank you guys.
Jerry and Linda, we’ve just move to Ft. Myers from Louisville so God is officially welcoming we to Florida living. 😀 We hope you both are safe through this storm. On another note though I truly love it here but as an outdoorsman I am going to miss fall in Kentucky with the frosty temps, beautiful colors, and of course my hills and hollers.
Can you do a daily video for the next few days to let us know how things are going as Ian passes through? Even if it’s just a 5 minute recorded “live”?
I am sure you all have survived the horrendous weather you all have had but I have come to the conclusion Jerry you don’t visit the grocery store to offen. We enjoy watching your videos..it was funny watching you trying to find you beef stew..
I used to live in lake county Florida years ago been through many hurricanes you got to stock up on items as soon as you hear it may affect you not wait when you wait every thing Flys off the shelves Please stay safe 🙏
Gee, Plastic Bags!! we have not had them for over 2 yrs now. We use paper bags like we did in the 1960's and our own handmade fabric bags. takes some getting used to but better for the environment and out of the sea. cheers!!
