Ive seen people giving their ideas for who the Zeus/God Z equivalent should pull from, so im gonna throw my hat in that ring. Geno is Mighty (obviously) Ristar is replaced by Keeby (the yellow kirby from Dream Course) Vector-Man replaced with Noxus (Metroid Prime Hunters) And Alex Kidd replaced by Groose (Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword) The logic is "forgotten" characters who only appear really once and are gone pretty much forever after, only appearing as references as such if they are lucky. Another was "Heroes gone bad" was something i wanted to stick too. Geno again is obvious, Keeby is the player two character in Dream Course, Noxus is involved in prime hunters seeking the "Ultimate Power" to keep it out of "unworthy hands" (the space pirates, or extremists like Sylux for example) and more or less has the same reasons for bounty hunting as Samus, to keep the peace. And Groose is just like the bird he's named after, a guy who thinks he's bigger, tougher, and has got a massive ego, but he soon realizes that all means nothing on the surface where a bokoblin isn't gonna bend over backwards in fear, no its gonna beat him into dust if he even tries, but he musters the courage to help Link fight the goddamn IMPRISONED not once but TWICE and even tries to defend old Impa from Ghirahim who could easily cleave him in half.
Another reason for my choices was Nintendo didn't really ever abandon any of its more notable series to hyper-focus on one like Sega did with the Sonic series, so I went for the characters who were semi-important for 1 game at least with maybe a passing "cameo" in others, plus I wanted to focus on certain traits matching the God Z/Zeus forms (Ristar is, well a star with a round body so Keeby is kinda my best choice that isn't Meta Knight, due to his Main Character Status, Noxus looks Robotic in appearance with his power suit, and Groose has the Human features of Alex Kidd) Groose is the one with the most solid design concept in my head, more or less mixing Groose with The Imprisoned/Demise to reference the curse (the cycle hyrule finds itself in with Ganon/dorf is actually connected to Groose as, as i understand it, he's the one who founded the Gerudo tribe in the first place and his red hair kinda does point that way as well) and holding a broken version of the sword Demise has, (quick reminder that the sword Demise uses is actually Ghirahim's true form so he's basically swinging Ghirahim's Corpse around)
