I’m from Germany and have been living in Canada for almost four years and Ngl I’m still not used to having to wait in front of the doctors office before it opens to maybe get an appointment right away. After only 4 years I’m already at a point where I think “if it doesn’t look/feel like it’s gonna kill me any time soon I’m not going to the doctor”
@@Laura-xs1bv I left emerge still having chest pain (a couple weeks ago) because it had been 4 hours and I had calmed my symptoms down “enough” to accept suffering in the comfort of my own home. 🙄
I'm sorry I'm spamming, but I have lived in Red Deer for a number of years and so I feel semi-qualified to chime in. I am surprised our homeless situation was not mentioned. I know rates are rising everywhere as well, but the acute and tangible presence of the community might be quite jarring to newcomers who think a small town in Alberta wouldn't have such a problem. I respect individuals, and I respect the complexities of systems, but people should be aware that a significant area of Red Deer is not to be considered Small Town "safe." Also, rental housing options are disappearing rapidly, and rates in some buildings have gone up over 30%!!! Rates in certain parts of Edmonton are equal to or cheaper than Red Deer, atm.
True, no one mentions the addicts roaming around high carrying bear spray and who knows what else. The rent increases are insane. We had to move, I'm still helping an old, senior neighbor cover her rent past what her income is around $100 a month. Somehow new to Canada Ukrainians can afford these rentals without issue... Gotta do something about this crazy immigration and these junkies so we can all afford rent and food again and have access to healthcare.
Hello bro! Can you make a video about gym hall that are in red deer and the prices of all gym and also the time when it opens and closes and all details. It would really help because i regularly do exercise and i am moving to red deer soon. Thank you.
I was checking real estate listing in Red Deer and noticed almost every home has a fire pit in backyard which is amazing. That mean local municipality allows to have wood fire? Neighbors won't snitch either? In Mississauga, Ontario they will send a ffin whole team of firefighters blazing sirens at your place. I was trying to burn some old documents one of our neighbor came and told us not to do so someone will report lol. SUCKS TO BE IN ONTARIO
@@scratchoriginalsdh that's just wonderful. I can imagine in Winters or maybe autumn people sitting by fire sipping their nice Vodka nice n slow and having their BBQ. I guess Albertan winter will be too cold to sit out.
@@scratchoriginalsdh u Albertans are making it more enticing for us to move. I wonder if u guys see it as negative or positive. Flocks moving in from BC or Ontario?? Lol Be honest.
Hey Kyle! You popped up in my feed 😮
Haha strange but cool!
Awesome seeing local RUclipsrs
Thanks! Appreciated!
New-to-Canada folk have expressed shock at the medical clinic walk-in lineups as well.

@@Laura-xs1bv also, a little birdy told me that post secondary education is actually affordable in Germany…is this true?
New to Canada folks are kinda why the lines are so long tho
Rather than a hospital expansion how about a 2nd hospital??
Not sure where it would go!

@@marknalberta there has definitely been an increase in job and housing competition this past year.

Yep you can have fires as long as there is no fire ban
I can't even fathom NOT being able to have our backyard fires!!! Hot dogs and marshmallows any day of the week!

What about fishing in reddeer
Wish I could answer that one ! I don’t fish much!
You don't want to eat anything you catch here. You'll need to drive around 45 minutes to get to publice fishing spots with edible fish.
The taxes stuff is disturbing..
