      the problem is peak design send all their products to every single photoblogger for free, (genius marketing) so youtube gets flooded with positive, over produced reviews that are basically just reading copy. very few are ACTUAL reviews of these.

    Trust me i go heavy on watching reviews before buying a product. I can confidently say that you were the only reviewer who actually took out the origami divider. This was a huge deciding factor for me as i like to have the freedom to have that on or not. Great great review. My only critic would be, loved to have seen some shots of you wearing the product and using it as an everyday user. Apart from that, mad respect for this video! Thank you very much for this!

    Excellent video. The first one I've come across to show clearly (and correctly) all the features of the bags and what they can store. I'm going for the 3L (for a M4/3 body with two primes and a walkabout zoom). Thanks so much for this video - I'd almost given up hope of finding a decent video demo online.

    This is the most thorough review of this product I've seen. Wanted something small and quick for stripped-down travel filming (ninja like, as stated) and was trying to decide between the 3 and the 6. You pulling out the Mavic Pro with the 6 was the deciding factor for me.

    I wish I watched your video before I bought one lol
    Just bought the V2.0 6L yesterday, it was a lightly used occasion for less than half the price so I couldn't leave it there.
    Once I got home I started messing around with the panels and fitment of my gear and it was a grand disappointment, a Nikon D700 simply doesn't fit in there without stretching the bag to it's absolute limits and bulging in the middle.
    The camera (viewfinder/prism to be specific) is apparently so tall that it will bulge pretty severely in the middle of the bag, no matter the orientation of the camera.
    Of course this is really specific to the camera you use, and a D700 isn't a small body by any stretch of the imagination, but I find it kinda odd.
    Especially since I had a Patagonia hip/waist bag that is about half the volume of the sling bag(and isn't even a camera bag) but it does fit the D700 with lens attached + backup lens easily without stretching or bulging in any dimension.
    Aside from that; great bag, great materials, love the design. The only gripe I have is the QC of the product, since the end/beginning of the nylon strap starts fraying super easily because there isn't anything that protects that part(plastic or metal cap that secures the fibres).
    And a bit sad that it doesn't fit my D700 very well.

    Great review and is helping me decide which size to buy (first lol). For short tripods and items on the bottom you can criss-cross the straps to give better support. Run one from the front right to the rear left, and the other just the opposite and they will capture things a bit shorter than the bottom of the bag.

    So here's the thing - I'm off on a holiday and looking to purchase an EDC to hold various small items including a Fujifilm X100V, small water bottle, and glasses. I purchased the Bellroy Venture Sling 6L and think it looks great but is a bit smaller than I imagined tbh considering the 6L size mark. For example, the Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L camera bag - yes 3L - (superbly made also) has almost the EXACT same dimensions, looks able to store pretty much exactly the same amount of items and is extremely well crafted with comparable weather resistance etc - BUT quite a bit cheaper. Why is the Bellroy so much more expensive and named 6L, when the Peak Design of the same size is 3L ??????? Is there something odd going on???

    I tried the 3L and it fit my D70 and 55-250mm zoom and an extra lens, cards, and batteries just fine. The D70 isn't very small, either. I am kind of waffling on the 6L simply to carry a water bottle, though. The build quality on these is lightyears ahead of those hex slings, and they fit/feel a million times better. I tried both and the Peak is so well built.

    Excellent review. I'm glad to see a review of the two bags for use in street photography. Are you able to put the camera with the 18 - 55 zoom attached in both bags in the same orientation? Are both bags wide enough? I'm torn because I only carry an XT-30, 23mm f2, and an 18 - 55 zoom. And sometimes I leave the zoom at home. The 3L is enough for my gear, but I can't leave the house without a water bottle and a small snack. So I'm leaning toward the 6l for a little extra room for other stuff.

    I don’t always need all the lenses, flash, batteries, etc and I think the 6L bag should hold my camera, a couple lenses, the drone (Air 2S) and controller. You think that would all fit?

    Hi wonder if you could advise, I have a XT3 which I use in combination with a 1955 Yashica A TLR camera. The Fuji only ever has a 35mm f2 lens. Do you think I could squeeze the two into a 3L?

    Would a DJI Mini 3 and RC1 controller fit in the 3L ??

    Do you think a Canon 5D Mark IV with 50mm f1.4 will fit in a 3L?

    I bought the 6l ash color . I think the fabric is a little too rough and damages the clothes when wearing , especially when I wear a delicate jacket or T-shirt . Do you have same problem ???

    • @cleverrev
      @cleverrev  4 года назад

      I have not had any issues with the fabric. I wear soft cotton shirts all the time. Perhaps yours is a bit more abrasive possibly?

    Ed, do you believe an R6 with an EF-RF adapter and a Sigma 70-200 fit in the 6L?

    For leisure travel, which one did you end up mostly using? the 3 or 6? I'm also considering the 10, but it seems to be ginormous

    • @cleverrev

      The 6 is perfect. That's all I use now. You won't regret it.

    Can a XT3 with attached 16-55mm fit on the 3L?

    • @cleverrev
      @cleverrev  4 года назад

      Unfortunately I don't own the 16-55mm, its actually the next lens on my purchase list. The 56mm fits and so does the 18-55mm. I think it will fit but you may sacrifice the origami side pocket. I'm almost certain it will work with the 6L.
