The Endurance Run at High Altitude Warfare School is an 18km long run in tough terrains with the finish line at a height of 9000 feet. It's a mental challenge and endurance test for trainee soldiers at HAWS to run with 18kg of battle load along with their personal weapons. Will they clear the litmus test for the toughest job in the world: defending India’s Himalayan borders. Watch this episode to find out.
Some of the highest battlefields like Siachen can be unforgiving even for the toughest soldiers; where low oxygen level and sub-zero temperatures make it one of the most hostile places to live in, let alone fight. At HAWS Gulmarg which is situated close to 9,000 feet above sea level, Indian Army men train to survive and fight in the world’s highest battleground at 20,000 feet.
