Great video Lindsay. I've used this same x-rite set-up for a few years and also highly recommend it. As they say, it gives you colour confidence as you shoot!
This is something I haven't been doing with my shoots. After watching this yesterday, I ordered the color checker passport and the i1 display studio. I'm excited to see the difference in my future sessions! Great info!
My go-to lens is the Nikkor 24-120 mm. I've been using ON1 Photo Raw more than Photoshop, but ON1 has issues. AI isn't consistent, among other things. I do a lot of compositing, and ON1 is faster than Ps., but it more often than not doesn't work well.
Can you do a beauty shoot using continuous led lights ? I really want to get into beauty but there’s very little videos using constant lights it’s all I have at the moment
You can but it can be more challenging. The power might not be enough and the modifier selection isn't as great. You typically have to keep the lights very close as well. I would experiment and look into purchasing inexpensive constant lights and see what you can achieve first and if you like them.
Charles Rollins It feels expensive until you get it. Then it feels like the best $120 you've ever spent. It's like it breathes new life into your expensive camera.
That was fun. Color can make such a difference. Thanks Lindsay,

I have 2 Godox sl60w in my mind I’m thinking of trying a glow beauty dish and a 48 inch deep parabolic
@@mystahgerri8178 did you try this set up? I wonder
do you use the color checker for everytime you shoot, and change lights?
If I need accurate skin tone, then yes
What software do you prefer for tethering? No issues with Catalina 10.15.2 and Canon tethering?
CaptureOne. No issues!
OMG is Annie Vanrickley?
Merry Christmas Lindsey, maybe you'll be under my tree christmas morning ;-)
I have got to get a color checker, once the price is more affordable.
