Whoever spray painted Conrail on that CSX locomotive obviously is pretty good, although not something I’d want to do, but I do miss Big Blue. Your right, that particular crossing where that semi got stuck showing up in Google earth was very cool. The weather up there is just beautiful. Another great video WWOT.
no it shows a sensor inspection has been done! if you rewatch it you'll see wires connected at those points those are gate sensors! the marks are to show those have been done!
First, there was that EMD SD70 painted in the old C&O For Progress scheme and now we get the Conrail. The Railroad Merger Gods must not be happy with CSX.
Great November to you, Wide World Of Trains! Wow, what a thrill! That first Union Pacific train was booking like streak lightning. In fact, all those trains ran booking right down the line. On the CSX M-368 train, the fourth locomotive has the Conrail decal on its side, its number is 7860. It may not be as new as expected.

Don't call it a comeback, Conrail's been here for years and conrail's fallen flag has dissappeared. thought i 'd throw an L.L. COOL J reference in there, but that just great that big blue has risen from the grave.💯💯💯💯💯👍.
It’s actually an originally owned unit and the ex conrail C40-8W’s were from the 7300 series that got retired a few years back. However there are 6 Former LMS C40-8W’s left that look similar with the top mounted headlights that look like the ex conrail ones and those are from the 7900 series. Just a little info. 👍
The weather around Dunkirk for early November still looks pretty nice. NS 28B was flat out hauling through the crossing, or as WWoT says, he was motoring Jack. I doubt CSX would have spray painted Conrail on their locomotive. CSX would have had a more professional job done if they wanted a legacy locomotive. The semi driver high centered on the tracks was lucky WWoT called CSX to alert them a truck was stuck on the tracks. They sure left a lot of rubber on the crossing trying to get back off the crossing.
New Conrail locomotive yay that's a Awesome catch wwot now I see why that semi truck got stuck on that crossing another great video with a bunch of awesome trains DPU Alright Roll it
0:25 We are at the CSX tracks at the Lake Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 28 October 2022. A semi-tractor with a low-boy trailer got hung up on the CSX tracks on 8 August 2022. You showed us the location a day or two after the incident so that we could see the tire burn marks on the Lake Road pavement. This time you brought us here to again show us the tire burns on the pavement but also to tell us that Google Maps had sent a crew out some time after your RUclips video of the incident premiered to record the burnt tire marks on the pavement at the CSX Lake Road crossing. If you look at the current version of the CSX Lake Road crossing, you will see the burnt tire markings. At 2:49 you start to walk south on Lake Road to the Norfolk Southern tracks to see if there is a Norfolk Southern train coming. 3:45 We are looking west on the Norfolk Southern tracks at Lake Road. WE see the headlight of an approaching Norfolk Southern train. In this view we see the Norfolk Southern signal at Norfolk Southern Milepost 46.9 and the Milepost 47 marker. As you zoom in on the Norfolk Southern train, we see that it is approaching the Martin/Lowell crossing. We see that the lights are flashing but the gates are still up at 3:50. At 4:06 we can hear the horn from Norfolk Southern train #28B warning of its approach to the Martin/Lowell Road crossing. At 4:15 you zoom in on Norfolk Southern train #28B as it nits the Matin/Lowell Road crossing. We also hear the warning bell at the Lake Road crossing ringing in anticipation of the gates at the Lake Road crossing going down. At 4:22 we hear the motor on the crossing gate nearest us standing to lower the gate. At 4:33 Norfolk Southern train #28B warns that it is getting close to Lake Road. At 4:41 Norfolk Soutern train #28B hits Lake Road. This Norfolk Southern train is powered by two Union Pacific engines. At 5:15 Norfolk Southern train #28B passes Lake Road. You zoom in on the end of Norfolk Southern train #28B as it continues east. At 5:48 Norfolk Southern train #28B passes Berry Road in Pomfret, New York. At 6:08 we hear Norfolk Southern train #28B blowing its horn for the approach to the Van Burne Road crossing. 6:32 You start to walk north on Lake Road to the CSX tracks to check for any SX trains that might be coming. At 7:23 you look east on the CSX tracks, and we see a headlight about three miles to the east. That means that the CSX train was near the Town of Dunkirk City Hall. At 7:45 we are looking east at the Berry Road crossing which is the first set of crossing gates that we see. The next railroad related thing that we see beyond the Berry Road crossing gates are the CSX Milepost 44.8 signals. Beyond the signals we see the crossing gates for the Ven Buren Road crossing. At 8:00 CSX train #I157 has past the CSX Milepost 44.8 signals and is closing in on the Berry Road crossing as the gates at the Berry Road crossing are going down. At 8:31 CSX train I157 nits Berry Road. At 8:37 the warning bells at Lake Road start to ring in anticipation of the arrival of CSX train #I157. At 9:10 CSX train #I157 hits Lake Road. At 11:59 CSX train #I157 passes Lake Road. You zoom in on CSX train #I`57 as it goes west on 28 October 2022. At 12:47 CSX train #I157 passes the Martin/Lowell Road crossing. 13:34 You placed the camcorder on the road at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York. You did not tell us the date that you captured this portion of the video. At 13:54 we hear the horn of an approaching CSX train. At 14:55 we see CSX train #M567 peeking over the top of the road. At 14:10 CSX train #M507 hits Berry Road. At 15:07 CSX train #M507 passes Berry Road. I hope that I recorded the CSX train number correctly. It was hard to hear you when you gave the train number because you were not close to the camcorder. 15:22 WE are at the CSX tracks at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 7 November 2022. We are looking west at CSX train #M368. As you zoom in on CSX train #M368 at 15:29 we see that the train is hitting the Lake Road crossing. At 15:54 we hear the horn on CSX train #M368 signal the first warning of its approach to Berry Road. There are six CSX engines powering this train. The fourth engine CSX engine #7860 had the name CONRAIL and the Conrail logo painted on the side just behind the cab. At 18:28 CSX train #M368 passes Berry Road. You zoom in on the end of CSX train #M368 as it continues east. At 19:05 CSX train #M368 passes the CSX Milepost 44.8 signals. At 19:31 the lights on the CSX Milepost 44.8 signals go dark. At 19:38 CSX train #M368 passes the Van Buren Road crossing. The signal bridge that we see in this telephoto view is the Control Point 42 signal bridge which is over four miles east of Berry Road. 20:38 You start to walk south on Berry Road to the Norfolk Southern tracks to see if there are any Norfolk Southern trains coming. At 21:28 we see no Norfolk Southern trains coming from the east and at 21:35 we see no Norfolk Southern trains coming from the west. 21:44 We are looking at the Norfolk Southern tracks at the Martin/Lowell Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 7 November 2022. The gates are down, and the lights are flashing. We hear the horn of Norfolk Southern train #264 letting us know that it is approaching Berry Road. At 21:46 Norfolk Southern train #264 hits the Martin/Lowell Road crossing. This train is powered by two BNSF engines. At 23:11 Norfolk Southern train #264 passes the Martin/Willow Road. crossing You zoom in on the end of Norfolk Southern train #264 as it continues east. At 23:44 Norfolk Southern train #264 passes Lake Road. 24:08 Your Outro begins and ends at 28:23. Thank you for documenting these trains in the Dunkirk, New York area. I think that this is the first time that I remember seeing one of your videos where you captured a train at the Martin/Lowell Road crossing in Pomfret, New York. In the past the only way we have seen the Martin/Lowell Road crossing in Pomfret, New York is when you were at the Berry Road crossing, and you were either zooming in on an eastbound train that was coming toward Berry Road, or you were zooming in on a westbound train that had passed Berry Road. I really did not know that we were at the Martin/Willow Road crossing until you walked closer to the Norfolk Southern tracks and zoomed in on the Norfolk Southern train #264 as it continued east. I initially thought we were at the Berry Road crossing for this last train. (Posted 12 November 2022 at 15:57 CST.).
