    It got a little murky when you explained selling the put to help you on the downside/ potentially be profitable in 2 ways but now that its set in I can defiantly see the benefit of the strategy. Great content overall you guys are really good at giving valuable information

    But if you buy a call and the underlying goes up, you can sell the call back to close the position and still make a profit even if you haven't reached your break even point. I've hardly seen this covered in options content.

    What are some downsides to margin account trading? Sometimes I sell puts and let them expire ITM to collect the stock and sell calls on it. I assume you can't do this with a margin account?

      You can do this - you just don't have to put up as much buying power for any aspect of the trade vs a cash or IRA account which are cash secured. You take the same risk, but have much more capital efficiency in a margin account.

    You have greatest risk in selling the option... he kindve glossed over that
