Renegade has the best team that's setting him up for success. He and Frosty don't even have best stats in their teams. Lucid is in much weaker team and carrying them. Winning doesn't make you greatest invidual player as it always requires team effort. People used to argue that Dev1ce was greater than s1mple in csgo, because he had 4 majors while s1mple had none. Now when s1mple has actually capable teammates and they're the best team in the game, i don't think anyone is saying that dev1ce is better. S1mple was clearly the best invidiual player all along, just stuck in a bad team.
DGA FTW!!! Bro.. I don't know if I've ever fully disagreed with one of your takes. I will say that Frostys comms are better than Renegade from the samples I've heard. To be fair I've heard a lot more of Frosty than I have Renegade but I've noticed Renegade to be sort of quiet when he's clutching something, where as Frosty will still ask for help or inform his team of his situation. This little difference imo is where Frosty and Sentinels really set themselves apart in terms of communication. Lucid/Renegade have great comms but Frosty still talks (with a blank expression on his face lol) while he's clutching things. Oh and your point about Frosty not having Lethul couldn't be more understated. That Lethul guy is pretty decent at enabling his team on the map. Love the content dude fr! Frosty still takes #1 for me, as when he gets hot he is just so dominant he can't be stopped (the $25K before Raleigh really shows this off). That, and if you watch his PoV, he never has any downtime in his gameplay. He plays so fast and so smooth and every action seems so measured compared to everyone else.
Lucid for me is maybe the top player in a vacuum. Hard to say how it would be if Optic can't get it together though. Lucid feels like he's being anchored while Frosty and Renegade get to shine with the help of top tier teams.

Great comment! I have yet to release an ~official~ top 10, but your top 5 and mine are actually exactly the same at the moment. In Halo 5 I feel like it was quite easy to make a top 10, but in this game there are so many great players spread on so many teams it's hard to tell who stands out.
I feel like Lucid and Optic in general are tripping up when it comes to objective efficiency. They tend to over emphasise slaying and they aren't pouncing on their opportunities enough. You don't need 3-4 players down everytime to make a flag run etc.
The more I watch Renegade the more I see him being clutch in extremely pivotal moments. He's always a strong player, but he'll get these surges where he pops off and you're like "well, that really puts C9 ahead even more" or "Oh shit, C9 was down but that was just the play they needed". I also think Falcated is showing to be a top player as well, he's not too flashy for the things he does, but he doesn't need to be. He's always stable and will be that rock you need when things get tough
@@robertxflakes they have yet to place top 4/5 even with formal I believe.. they’re not terrible, but still not a top contender whereas each of these three have stacked rosters for teammates.
I always wonder who the best player is but it’s easy to forget that its a team game and that no individual can 100% carry their team to a championship, especially in halo. That being said, daddy Frosty is gonna dominate the rest of the season :)
I think I would have to go with no for this one. And the primary reason why is that you can drop all the stats that you want, but if you’re not winning you’re not winning. Lucid has this interesting storyline where his teams are showing up online but have yet to win a LAN. The other two have been arguably the best player on their team for multiple event wins.
Talent wise I give Lucid the slight edge, but I agree renegade is the best current player. I think Optic can’t play the entire season with this 4 and think they’re going to win a major, seems early but I’d love to see a move from OG just calling it like I see it they don’t have the top tier slaying talent like Sen or C9
I think another important factor is how the player works within their own team. Like you could argue that Lucid's team simply lets him slay out the way he does. While maybe SEN's roster is more evenly distributed with the kills, so no player really "shines" with Lucid's consistency of high kill games. Like I've been trying to pay attention to 1 on 1 encounters between Lucid and other top players (ones where team mates don't interrupt their 1v1) and Lucid doesn't necessarily dominate in 1 on 1 scenarios. He's competent in those scenarios obviously, but he doesn't particularly stand out there in my opinion. He stands out by capitalizing around his team and often doing so in a flashy matter
You're right. With Lucid's team especially I've noticed that they always give him the power weapons, where as on other top teams there isn't a distinct player who controls them. Could explain the higher numbers but I would have to take a closer look
Altough last week OG looked bad I think people look at their performance at raleigh wrong. They lost 3-2 vs C9 and have been the most competetive vs them out of any team. Teams like Faze and eUnited are basically getting sweapt in finals while OG actually compete well with the top teams. They seemingly just lost comms and team work last week
@@DeviousGruntAlliance blows my mind that they were 1st seed and had to play if I remember... Pioneers, SEN, FAZE, C9 then SEN? meanwhile eUnited (who I respect a ton) play bing chilling?????

I agree with you, Luciid was the best going into Raleigh, but I think after Pro Week 1 Renegade is the better, more complete player. There's been times where Luciid has hesitated, and I think his comms are too self-centered. He has been super clutch in scrims in all areas of the game. Keep an eye on him, and see if it translates into tournaments.
imo he's individually the best and most talented however out of respect of team performance you have to say renegade since he's the one who is winning. It's like the NBA MVP someone individually could be awesome but team performance matters
Lucid imo is the best but his team has let him down. Thing is that APG and Trippy have really dissapointed me as an optic fan the past 2 events. APG can't seem to keep up on fragging and while the same can be said for Ola, Ola makes up for in positioning and impact/clutch plays on the map. Tripppey has been so up and down and it's frustrating, on a series he can hit crazy highs and insane lows and everyone knows he can be one of the best but he's just so inconsistent it's crazy. I still believe tho, if APG can up his game like we know he can and Tripppey can find some consistency, top 2 arguably best squad no doubt.
It’s interesting bc I had Trippy as one of my top players at the beginning of the season. It’s true what you say about Ola clutching up, he did it multiple times at Raleigh (that oddball survival on live fire). Interested to see how they play tonight
I just feel like we can't call somebody the best player in the game if his team got 6th when they were expected to be seen in the finals if not take it all. He's an insane player, but if he and his team don't clutch up when it matters, really nothing else matters at that point. Everyone wants to get 1st place, if you choke all the way down to 6th when everyone sees you as potentially 1st, that says a lot. We'll have to see how the rest of the LANs go but for now I can't put Lucid #1
Easily Lucid on top, Renegade is close but his team has shown they’re one of the best (I wouldn’t go so far to say they are the best, but they win when it matters). That being said, there are tons of really good pro players right now but the best is Lucid. Could change shortly, who knows. Also I’d say Tylenul over Falcated is catching my eye though.
Renegade lucid with stellur bound close behind . eco and trippey are good too but play different roles with their teams. Bubu dubu pistola snipedown frosty royal 2 all great players capable of taking over any game.

I think frosty is the best 1v1 player but he can be too aggressive and his deaths are typically from challenging unwinnable fights. Lucid is the best overall from game knowledge, skill, and leadership. Renegade is the scariest for everyone to face with the craziest map utilization
Matchmaking cheaters is so bad, Big Team Battles doesn't work, the Ranking System is horrible, just the worst! Customization is just a big disappointment!! Also playing Swat, Team Slayer or any other mode doesn't earn you anything and gives no point in playing, unlike the other Halo games. Sadly This will slowly fade away...
You can't tell me lucid is the best if he and his team can't place top 3 in a halo infinite tournament. And keep in mind, even if his kd is better, he is not competing against the top two teams as much as those who are in the top 3 teams
@@DeviousGruntAlliance I REALLY hope so, one of the best Halo players I've ever seen on Halo 5, guy was unmatched as I'm sure you know I found him through your highlights lmao

I don't count royal 2 quite yet until he's fully back! Hard to judge fully without him being in the tournaments haha
Also, what's the song at the end?
Haha it's an instrumental for "Not Allowed" by tv girl

Matchmaking cheaters is so bad, Big Team Battles doesn't work, the Ranking System is horrible, just the worst!
Customization is just a big disappointment!!
Also playing Swat, Team Slayer or any other mode doesn't earn you anything and gives no point in playing, unlike the other Halo games.
Sadly This will slowly fade away...
You can't tell me lucid is the best if he and his team can't place top 3 in a halo infinite tournament.
And keep in mind, even if his kd is better, he is not competing against the top two teams as much as those who are in the top 3 teams
I just wish shotzzy was on the cloud9 roster instead of penguin, man, they would dominate Infinite every event for its lifetime.
Shotzzy return maybe next year 👀
@@DeviousGruntAlliance I REALLY hope so, one of the best Halo players I've ever seen on Halo 5, guy was unmatched as I'm sure you know I found him through your highlights lmao
Frosty over Lethul and Royal2? smh
Stellur tho.
Top 3 for me right now! My opinion’s changed, haha
@@DeviousGruntAlliance I still think Renegade is one of the, if not, the best players right now. C9 is top tier. Love your content, keep it comin.
@@Mrkarate9 thank you bro, big video next
We all know royal 1 is the best. Come on guys LOL
i think frosty is the best, we can see Lucid makes rly good plays these days, but i conside frosty as the most stable performance player , and also i like his fast and smooth gameplay. And what is the most important in the competetive playing, he is good under pressure.
