Yann Tiersen’s music is why I started playing piano at 13. I then went on to play classical and jazz studied piano in college. But he was why I started- I learned the entire soundtrack to Amelie when I was a kid and bought my first keyboard.
This video was one that I found when I was 13. I was in awe and still am. Thanks Yann!

This man is a gift... from the universal blessing of sound and music to humanity... I am so happy I live in a day and age where I can just type his name on a keyboard to see him appear in a virtual alternate reality here... on my screen... to witness him like if I was there at the concert...

I just read most people find his live concerts really bad. Very short, NO interaction with the audience at all, playing with the back to the audience etc.
