I remember being shocked as a kid when my best friend showed me how he took took different GI Joes apart and reassembled bits and pieces together to make unique guys. It un-nerved me to no end. It wasn't right, it was not the way things were meant to be... unholy even. Then I did it myself once and my Cobra Commander III / Law & Order / some other guy became my favourite joe toy. I may not be into your modding choices but I think it takes courage and it will lead you to new places. It takes guts to put your own stamp on things and to not settle for what da man (aka hasbro) gives us.
Cardboard Bots thus why I mutilated my spare alpha bravo to get the tail done before I even started trying to shape the rest of vortex. this is definitely the most extensive and therefore nerve racking mod I've done, because I know how saught after combiner wars let alone bruticus specifically is....thanks though = )
Yeah , considering you already roasted your own tail fin so I won't comment on it any further , pretty much all the flaws i had with your Vortex you pretty much mentioned :P But Speaking of Alpha Bravo , i prefer to call him Evac since he resembles the autobot repaint of Movie 2007 Blackout with the same name , and since Blackout was initially meant to be Vortex , i prefer to associate Alpha Bravo and Vortexx with Evac and Blackout, since they both seem to be counterparts of eachother and mold brothers as well :P
I won't parrot what I said regarding Blast Off, but I will agree that the odd toon based coloration is one reason I wasn't 100% sold on the UW Bruticus, as I personally prefer the more toy accurate colors of the original Combaticons. The RID Commandos on the other hand I feel quite the opposite, and I'm still frustrated to this day over how the heck the American releases of Ruination shunted the color scheme around so much.
I can see where you're coming from with not getting the Unite Warriors version, however G1 accuracy is a big one for me so having the shuttle (while it doesn't make sense...) Blast Off is a selling point. That being said, especially with a few modifications, the Combiner Wars Combaticons are still great figures. And I meant to ask this earlier, what's the "Wii" in the title supposed to mean?
LER, is there any Combiner Wars Deluxes you no longer want? And the short reviewers are always pleasant! Also, is there by any chance we'll see a CW Scattershot Review? the Voyager itself (that forms Betatron) or The Box Set (Forms Computron)
