I've had mine for years, I have literally poured multiple pallets of quikrete through this tough beast. Today I went to mix some stucco and it just hummed, no movement. Thanks for this video, it gave me the will and fortitude to fix this one and avoid buying another. I pulled the entire thing apart, took about 15 minutes, and yeah it was locked with rust. with some WD-40 and patience I got the rotor out. Injector cleaner, and a wire brush to make it clean. Reassemble and this tough bastard is trucking again. Oh, and I tossed the switch and bypassed it :P
When you pull out all the 4 contacts you will see 2 other springs that might rusted away, so the contacts can not connect. I´ll show a video on my channel about this issue the next days... Kind regards Sascha
I just put mine together today. I haven’t even used it yet still brand new. I won’t be leaving mine outside but just seeing how durable they are from watching your video that is good to know. I was skeptical about purchasing this one at first because just looking at the design I didn’t think it would be as sturdy as it is. You should sand and paint yours and keep it under a tarp you will probably get another 5 years or longer out of it. I do have one question though; what is the most you mix up at a time? I figured 2 80 pound bags would be about the limit. I don’t think I should try and put much more weight on it probably won’t be good for the motor?
@IPINA75 I can't tell you. I just use it. The owners manual states on page 10. The gearbox is sealed for life. Do not attempt to open the gearbox and change the oil"

I think I’m convinced on getting this! Thanks for the video

I have always mixed 3 60lb bags. I tried 3 80lb but couldn't control the dump.
Excuse you, what grease or oil do you have in the gearbox Lb?

@@IPINA75 if you do have to take it apart, use 80w-90 (or there about) gear oil
Oh crap
