I remain of the opinion that it is awesome that you show how we all go through the process of failing until it sort of works. It isn't easy; it's hard. But fun. Keep on going!
I'm not an instructor, but I think your body should stay more far from the sail and your knees bent, so your arms should be outstreched , but keep tryng I've spent years before learning the jibe😅
100% for persistence. I hate falling in ! I'm thinking about trying winging so I don't know how that's going to work. I'll be falling in a lot then. Learn the gybe in subplaning conditions first. You may have to exit clew first until you have enough 'movement/speed ' to feel a little bit stable and choose a moment to flip. Also do dryland gybe practise to get the feet and rig flip down. A few things less to think about once you are going faster. I'm still working on my gybes after 30 years. I think I've given up on getting a planing gybe in chop and decided I'll be happy if it's dry. Why are you getting onto the wingboard from the front? I am thinking of giving it a go. Any videos I've seen you get on from the side.
Fail counter! So Geil
Aaahhh, hab eh schon alles voller sport Kram! Bist du ma am Bodensee?
Ps - you do what I do when I'm going for a gybe superpowered...fear makes me hang back and pull the sail in towards me which kills it and sinks the tail. Try dropping low below the boom with long arms as you enter and stay low .+1 for Cookie ride along sessions on RUclips.. TOW is everything ..but you need wind..we have stuff all wind atm ( winter)
I'm no expert, far from it, but I reckon you need to extend your arms more, especially the front one, and bend your knees more. One tip given to me was imagine yourself almost trying to look under the boom to initiate the bent knees
Is funny - I just had to look up "power gybe" to see if it's used in English. I have never heard a native speaker use it before. We all just say "carve gybe". But apparently there is a difference between carve gybe and power gybe. I started reading but got bored - all I care about is getting round and staying dry. A dry gybe is a good gybe!!! I think "planing gybe fails" would be a better title 😀😀😀
Great progress reckon you have the power. My tip would be drop and bend knees and drive the front hand forward. When you pull the sail in you upsetting the counter balance. Checkout cookies RUclips for gybes some great tips there.

Thank you very much!

I'm already in my third trying the power jibe 🤣

Such a great talent. It's fun watching your progress (if any) 🙃
Thank you!!!!

Yeah, I gotta work on that. I hope there will be some wind to try soon!

That's interesting. Well, now I have a good idea for the next video title. Thanks!🤣
Der ist wirklich immer am Spot, oder? 😂
Oh man that has got to be difficult trying to power jibe out in swells. My jibes are pretty crap but flat water makes it sooo much easier.
There are very few flat water spots in North Germany. And they only work with certain wind directions... So I got to learn it the hard way I guess.😭
If you feel overpowered in the beginning of the jibe you are not pulling enough. You really have to overdo it.
Alright!

Yeah, I have seen some of his videos before. They're really helpful! 👍
