      Wow that sounds great! We protect ours in our house for the winter months then outside all summer and yes the evenings are incredible when the fragrance kicks in. Here its like clock work 7:30 pm and it starts. Such a rewarding plant to grow! Thanks for the comment!

    I’ve had my brugmansia for about 8 months & still no flowers. Do u know approximately when I should expect some? What kinda fertilizer should I use??? I live in So.California so the tree gets plenty of sun & water, the only food I’ve been using so far is Miracle Grow.

    • @growercoach
      @growercoach  3 года назад +1

      Miracle grow is a good choice, These plants will start to bloom when the growing tips mature it is usually in August but sometimes earlier.

      @@growercoach Thanks. Do you have an opinion on any of the fish emulsion fertilizers? I understand brugmansias are heavy feeders.

    • @growercoach
      @growercoach  3 месяца назад

      @@grailgirl Water soluble fertilizers are best for plants in pots and fish fertilizer is best for plants in the ground. The fish fert needs microbes to help it release the nutrients.

      We grow them in containors in our climate so Im not sure. They love moisture so may be more invasive in a wsrm moist climate.

      Yes it is, it is related to the Datura plant family most of which have toxic properties. Thanks for mentioning this information and thanks for commenting.
