    Extremely useful video Nick! I am putting this on top of my wishlist. The perspective of such a handy device helping me to close my late flying sessions in the house is already triggering a need to get my whoop out of the shelve where it stayed dormant for way too long! BTW nice tan, you look good!

    I have one of the V1's, I think, without the dial. I think my PH2 connectors are packing it in, I'm moving to BT2/A30 so I'm good there. But I have been looking at this one just in case my current one starts to falter more. Love these things! Just hacked up an old IBM Laptop power supply with an XT60, love the USB C for a power bank too. Big thank you for confirming an A30 battery will connect to these. Having BT2's on all my whoops soon seals the deal on completely dropping PH2, except for a few toy drones for spec'taters. Thanks again for sharing! Cheers!

    I've been using their series 1s board that requires a full charger, but being able to reliably storage charge my 1s batteries has really seemed to extend their useful life span. This stand alone unit would be even more convenient out on the road!
    The one big advantage a full featured charger and series board will still have is being able to know exactly how many mah you put back into a pack to recharge it so you can calibrate the aio batt offset for accurate mah used screen display.

    The 40W input power is a minimum not a maximum! Important for anyone hoping to power it with USB! I thought I'd be able to use my 18W USB Fast Charger for charging at my desk, but it gives you an "Input Low" warning and you need to use 40W min.

    • @deathpunchrigby1664
      @deathpunchrigby1664 Год назад

      Yeah, I don't see the reason to get this compared to their v2. Features-wise, there's almost no difference, except for the addition of a fan. Looks like the v2 is more compact, and only require 30W min, allowing you to use a smaller phone wall charger.

      What’s the output specs on your charger? Does it do USB PD? Just this evening I used my little Anker 20W charger to charge up six 450’s at 0.4A. It negotiates up to 9V. Non-PD chargers at 5V do not seem to work.

    • @VIFLYDrone
      @VIFLYDrone Год назад +6

      @@deathpunchrigby1664 The minimum 40w input we write on the spec is to ensure every port can reach the largest charge current(1.3A), if your input power is lower than 40w , it still can work, you just need to lower the charge current, for example, if input power is 30w, the charge current only can reach 0.9A, hope my explaination is clear.

    • @VIFLYDrone

      People do need to realize that there is no such thing as 4.35 volt high voltage lipos. Just a game the manufacturers play so your lipos don't last as long and you have to buy them more often. Fact.
      I charge to 4.2v, get the longest life out of them, and forgo the extra 10- 20 seconds of flight time. It's not worth getting 15 extra seconds if your lipos give you less life overall. Don't be scammed! 😎🤘

I can't, and don't attempt to try to keep track of these dumb optional connectors for whoops. The PH 2.0 works fine if you get a solid pin one.
