Colonel Dickson, a British political agent, resided in this thirty-room home. It is now a cultural center displaying works of art, such as portraits of the colonel himself and his family.
Kuwait is one of my many homes, but out of all of them, I haven't seen much content or vlogs coming from there (especially in English). It was refreshing and heart-warming to see. Some of my favorite places are the Souq in Al Mubarakiya, Al Shaheed Park, and the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre. I really recommend checking all of those out. I will be returning there in a few days, this video made me so happy and excited so thank you, Doug and Mort!

If you want authentic Kuwaiti food you can go to fareej swaylah ( فريج صويلح) as well, it’s a restraunt that started originally as a street vendor in Kuwait back in the day, and made its way up into a three floor restraunt! Everyone has to go eat there at least once in Kuwait. Make sure to order fish kabsa (fish in kuwiat is really good because it’s on the sea, sort of like Alexandria) and also soup that comes in a literal bread! That was a super cool dish. Enjoy!

I've only been to five foreign countries in my lifetime, and Kuwait was one of them, and enjoyed my stay there. The country is beautiful, and I too have been to the mall, though not sure if it was the same one. I of course went around Kuwait City, but one thing I did differently than other visitors is me and few others went to visit rural Kuwait. A bedouin stopped us and asked us to come into his tent to have goat milk, which we did.

Great to have you in Kuwait, you should have visited these places though: 1. Al Shaheed Park ( Considered the largest urban park in Middle East and North Africa ) 2. Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre ( 18-hectare site making it the world's largest museum complex, 2021 OSCAR for museums winner ) 3. The Avenues Mall ( Prolly 10 times bigger than Assima Mall lol ) 4. Souk Al-Mubarakiya ( Old traditional souk/market ) There is much more as well, but make sure you don't miss these places in your next visit (preferably during winter) 😊

1. Al Shaheed Park ( Considered the largest urban park in Middle East and North Africa )
2. Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre ( 18-hectare site making it the world's largest museum complex, 2021 OSCAR for museums winner )
3. The Avenues Mall ( Prolly 10 times bigger than Assima Mall lol )
4. Souk Al-Mubarakiya ( Old traditional souk/market )
There is much more as well, but make sure you don't miss these places in your next visit (preferably during winter) 😊

My late mother used to make tea with dried, black limes, which she called numi basra. She said that many foods were imported into Iraq via Basra and that's how they got their name. I think that numi means sour.
