The next morning I was back to my polite, reserved self. A lot of people would never believe I could act that way especially to the police lol. I was surprised, too.

Ive worked security for years. I cant be around drunk people without being on guard. I used to drink but quit when my son was born, just so i didnt turn into this lol.
My youngest brother was once the administrator of the county jail in a small rural community in Texas. He told me that they watched the prisoners very carefully, specially those arrested for the first time, as many would be so upset about being arrested that they would be suicidal. He had said it was a major turning point for many of the prisoners, they would either repent and turn their lives around or become hardened criminals.
I don't think Alcoholism is as simple as that. Plus I wouldn't call her drunk, she's too hyper and is probably on a drug and possibly alcohol. Could be a perscribed drug, but she is not slurring her words and didn't fall asleep when left to calm down.

@Chick Norris now that you mention it this wasn't the first person I've seen who got arrested and had a bunch of rocks on them. When my youngest was in preschool he had this thing about rocks. He'd pick up rocks to take home and give them to me to hold until we got home. So I'd frequently have rocks in my pocket or purse lol. Luckily he grew out of that phase before too long.

I'm a former booking officer and yeah, it's sad. You see a lot of crazy crap and I've been called every name in the book. It's amazing how most attitudes change once they sober up.

In Australia kids die all the time thanks to parents leaving them in the car in the heat. Recently a two year old boy died and over 5,000 kids a year are rescued from hot cars. Wtf is wrong with some people??????? Don’t have kids if you can’t care for them, I’m a single mum of two kids but I’m also a foster mum to three kids, some people have no idea how they traumatise their own kids 🤬

I’ve personally met tons of women that are addicts and they majority of the time were not introduced to it by a bf, it’s usually either by a friend or they look for it on their own asking around. That’s if it’s not their own prescription medication they fall prey to. I know this because I have talked with a lot of addicts and found myself addicted to my own prescription medication.

There is a viral video of a woman suffering a stroke without insurance at the hospital. They called the cops, she got arrested and passed away in the police van. One officer was really irate and said he wanted her gone so he could eat a snack like he was hangry. This is the modern dystopian US pay or die. That said insulin was just capped at $35 so that's a step forward.
I saw that! I didn’t see a date when the incident occurred. I’d like to know what became of those officers-not to mention the hospital that prematurely discharged her! The cops were laughing at her and making fun of her size and hygiene. It was despicably cruel. May they someday find themselves at the mercy of someone bigger and more powerful than they are!

Safe detox, (in most systems), for the time it takes one sober & be released on bond/OR, or until one sobers enough to be allowed to join one of the pods.
Social services? Like counseling I hope! So that would be under mental health ordered by a judge, only if a person is willing to take that route or is forced into it, that’s why it’s a revolving door

One officer was really irate and said he wanted her gone so he could eat a snack like he was hangry. This is the modern dystopian US pay or die. That said insulin was just capped at $35 so that's a step forward.
I saw that! I didn’t see a date when the incident occurred. I’d like to know what became of those officers-not to mention the hospital that prematurely discharged her! The cops were laughing at her and making fun of her size and hygiene. It was despicably cruel. May they someday find themselves at the mercy of someone bigger and more powerful than they are!

Unfortunately, the people that actually care & want to help are far fewer than the ones who don't. A jail's way of sobering someone up is to put them in a cell for hours. Safe detox, (in most systems), for the time it takes one sober & be released on bond/OR, or until one sobers enough to be allowed to join one of the pods.
This society treats mental illness like a disease. It really breaks my heart that some people have no compassion at all.
Social services? Like counseling I hope! So that would be under mental health ordered by a judge, only if a person is willing to take that route or is forced into it, that’s why it’s a revolving door
