The shipping crates for these things are worth keeping - my husband used the crate from my XL425 to make the shelves for the water mixing station, and part of the cabinet drawers beside my tank. It was awesome that when he painted the water station shelves gray, he left a small square unpainted to show the serial number. I love it.
Really enjoyed this video and it would be good to see at some point, what the tank looks like after it’s matured a bit. Lol, and I liked the “Whoop!” at the end, pretty much what I did when mine was ready....😁

Once again informative. Would like to highlight a couple of points.. people should not underestimate how heavy these tanks are, it's not simply the crate which is heavy. Plan ahead in terms of manoevering the tank through the house. Some people need to remove doors from frames to give a bit of extra space.

There have been some posts on various forums that mention that the stands on the bigger RS tanks sag over time. I’ve installed heaps of the big Red Sea tanks and never seen the sag in person. It’s definitely something to be aware of, but I’ve always assumed the tanks I’ve installed don’t suffer from it coz I’m always so careful to get the “feet” adjusted perfectly. Cam
