I also do my side dressing the same way however to speed things up I use a cheap watering can. Take the spray end off the spout , fill the watering can with the dry fertilizer and then just pour and walk down the row. It holds more than your cup and you get the job done in minutes. I plant near 1/2 acre of sweet corn so I need to get it dressed in a hurry. I come back with hillers on my tractors to cover and hill the corn up to deal with weeds in row.
Nice explanation video, easy to follow. One suggestion might be to turn the camera side ways to get a full screen.

I used the water can and added a piece of pipe to the can so I don’t have to bend over, I can stand up straight and add 46 urea to the trench

where do you buy ammonium sulfate?

We buy ours at the local feed store. If I’m not mistaken, I believe I have seen our local Home Depot carry it as well. Nitrate for acidic soil, sulfate for alkaline. Our soil is alkaline clay, but we have always used ammonium nitrate in our region.
