Gaia Duo, featuring soprano Marilena Chrysochoidi and Giorgos Tabakis on the ancient Greek lyre, draws inspiration from historical inscriptions, artwork, and ancient texts to revive the captivating beauty of Greece’s musical heritage in a unique concert experience. Based on the extensive research and compositions of Nikos Xanthoulis, the duo presents a program that seamlessly blends ancient Greek music, which has been rediscovered and studied, with modern compositions.
