      May I ask where you got that info from?
      Fiber is not an enzyme. Fiber is a carbohydrate that our body cannot naturally breakdown. Fiber is also osmotic meaning it absorbs water which helps bowel movements. When you juice fast you are removing the fiber (pulp) which is why you have less bowel movements.
      The carbs you are talking about can be broken down by the body but it’s glucose. Protein can breakdown into glucose or amino acids (muscle growth) depending on what your body needs.

    Just remember the pulp help you detox as well as herbs. Be very careful because when you juice you take most of your nutrition out of your fruits and vegetables, the fiber in the fruits and vegetable balance out the fruit itself for as the sugar that it contains. So if you get a really great blender you can leave the plup and still get the same consistency. Like a juice drink. Or take the leftovers put it in a ice tray and when or make a smoothie what the leftover? Plup

    Overpurchasing produce is something I'm really trying to dial in. Especially considering I'm living out of a mini fridge, it's very tough to buy enough produce but not too much. Typically I can get 4 days max out of my juice and that's with adding about 1 lemon per juice.

  • @Rebelmoon777
    @Rebelmoon777 Год назад +1

    I'm on day three with the Nama. Great investment, but I started with a Ninja and nut milk bag. I made the rookie mistake of buying too much produce. I juiced 2.1 gallons, lol. I froze some so I have juice for 4 days. The Nama processes so the produce retains more nutrients and freezing some let's you extend the freshness time. I won't start straining until week 2.

    So much good info! I learned a lot. It makes so much sense that the more you strain the juice, instead of your body having to digest the fruit it can just absorb the nutrients from it. So interesting.
    How long does it normally take you to juice from prep to cleanup? How much juice do you consume per day? Do yo have a minimum or max? If they juices you make can last up to 3 days do you juice daily or just enough for the 3 days?
    Thank you for all great info!

    • @AnthonyKOwusu
      @AnthonyKOwusu  Год назад +2

      Thank you. I would juice enough for 3 days when I was on my cleanse. Just so I wouldn’t I’m have to pull out the juicer everyday. My average was around three 32oz mason jars a day. But every once in awhile it could be 4 or 5 if I became hungry. As far as prep it would all depend on the type or fruit or the juicer. If you’re using a blender that would be super fast but then you might run into the problems I talked about in the video. But then the omega would take forever so when I got the Nama it took a lot of time off for me and I didn’t have to worry about the problems people were pointing out with blending. But like I said in the video if a blender was all I had I would have still used the blender and maybe work my way to a juicer.

      I averaged around three 32 oz mason jars…but every once in awhile I would drink 4 or 5 jars if I felt super hungry or something. But the hunger started fading away the longer I went on the cleanse. Still smart to keep drinking juice though. I added water but I didn’t focus on overly drinking it since I was also getting liquids from the juices. Only when I felt like I needed it or was thirsty for it.

      Wish I could. It would all depend on how much you intake or how much it takes for each person to get full. Some people it might take 2 jars a day and others I’ve even heard 6-7 jars. So it would just depend. You would have to maybe do one shopping trip and after juicing you’ll be able to tell whether you need more juice to get full or not.

    What's the difference between drinking smoothies and juicing? Do you think it works similarly?

    • @AnthonyKOwusu
      @AnthonyKOwusu  Год назад +1

      Might work similar. But juicing should run through your system quicker because there really might not be as much fiber content depending on how you strain it. If you look at the consistency it should give it away and if you’ve noticed smoothies have a much thicker and dense consistency (it’s usually also more filling)….whereas juice usually runs through you. You get the nutrients and minerals but more than likely less fiber. Also with smoothies you can add so many different things. Juice is just that…Juice. They are both great but I think serve different purposes. Great to incorporate both is you can. I was looking to give my body more of a break so juicing did a great job for me there. But smoothies would probably give your body more of a break than Whole Foods etc.

      You should listen to your Dr. But I would also start incorporating plant based meals if you haven’t already and maybe work your way up to juicing once you stop getting as hungry and getting headaches. The human body can adapt. But you also want to be careful! Don’t want you hurting yourself!
      Maybe you can also include some juices in your current diet and see how you start feeling. I wouldn’t suggest going cold turkey though.

My question is will it be okay to drink more than suggesting fruit veggie serving a day? Hi Anthony! Thanks for this video. I’ve started juicing but have noticed really bad bloating. Is this normal? Any tips for it?

    • @AnthonyKOwusu
      @AnthonyKOwusu  Год назад +2

      Hey! I personally never noticed that on my end. Have you been keeping some of the pulp in etc. ? What was your diet like before? It could be the fiber. Even now that I’m embarking on the raw journey my body is still getting used to much fiber that I’m giving it.
      Reason I’m thinking it’s the fiber is because when I was juicing the reason I put it through the nut milk bag was to take as much pulp out as I could to make it easier for my body to work through the nutrients. There was still some soluble fiber but when I put it through the bag I got rid of most of the insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber is great for you but for the cleanse I was just trying to make everything easier for my body to process. If I find out anything else I’ll try and let you know. But this might be the problem. Just don’t know how you were eating before and how you’re juicing so I can’t be sure. Also what you’re juicing could be the culprit. Maybe keep it simple to one to 2 ingredients at a time. You might be able to do process of elimination. Could just be a certain fruit or veggie causing the bloat. You’d be surprised!

    • @DallasGordonCoachCEOCreative
      @DallasGordonCoachCEOCreative Год назад +1

      @@AnthonyKOwusu thanks so much for replying. Before I started incorporating juicing I was eating a good amount of fruits and veggies and occasional lean meats. I was thinking it could be too much Kale and I also started trying beet juice. I was thinking I should maybe lower the veggies a bit. I also use a strainer and have the Nama juicer. Maybe I should order the bag you mentioned in video and give that a try! Thank you 🙏🏽

    • @AnthonyKOwusu
      @AnthonyKOwusu  Год назад +1

      Yeah give the bag a try. You would be surprised how much more fiber you might be consuming and it could be that your body needs time to adjust. But yeah also it could just be certain veggies or fruits. Try going a week without certain ones that you’ve been consistent in juicing or lower the amount and see. Your body is definitely trying to tell you something. Let me know if it gets better or you start getting less bloating when you start trying to do any of those things. I’m curious now lol…good luck!
