This is a German pressing and this adaptor would have come in the centre when the record was new. The same design of adaptor was used in the UK starting in the late 60s and was supplied with Phonodisc (Philips & Polydor) pressings. They offered four different centre variations (large hole with adaptor, small hole ("solid centre"), three-prong push-out and four-prong push-out)

Not sure exactly where I'd classify it, but probably not Prog Rock. I haven't seen a 45 center spacer with that three-pronged design before.

@@CWLrecords I have seen the pressed-in UK adaptors but the ones I have come across were thicker.
