LOL! I love how they edited the giant cheater stack out of the video. The FA did a pretty tough boulder problem to get to where Carlo is starting. The stack is the accepted way now, but it is a shame because I know Gearing worked really hard to put down the opening boulder problem. Then everyone just skipped it by building an 8 ft tower of rocks.
It was mixed route for a little while but still required more than half of the route to be bolted, and what pro is there was pretty bad. I'd also recommend not taking out of your ass before calling the FA a "sporto" -- he has established numerous unrepeated 13+/14- R gear routes around the Red.

Good work on the send, regardless.
When was the FA done? I remember seeing padlocks on this thing about 3-4 years ago.
Sweet send. I was hoping somebody would get this route with gear.
Right? Who bolts a crack??? Sportos, that's who :)

Crazy looking rock. Could this crack be done as well with gear?
Not really. It was a mixed route for a little while but even then was like >50% bolted bolted and stupid dangerous.
Uhhh huhh
Goes for 5.14b in the guide i believe. I looks super hard. Ive walked by it many times.
