Yeah, people say Nintendo has a lot of IPs they don’t use but Sega has so many that hasn’t gotten a game in a long time, especially their IPs from the Saturn and Dreamcast days. (Jet Grind Radio, Virtua Fighter, Eternal Champions, Burning Rangers, Nights, Daytona, Sega Rally, Dragon Force, Shining Force, Ecco, Golden Axe, Guardian Heroes, Last Bronx, Panzer Dragoon, (not counting the remake) Virtua Cop, Clockwork Knight, all the Sega Sports games, Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes, I could go on)
There is some progress, Sakura Wars from Saturn and now Samba De Amigo from Dreamcast are first franchises from Sega Saturn / Dreamcast who got recently new game, made by Sega himself. There was also Super Monkey Ball and Virtua Fighter 5 US from RGG Studio, but those games were remakes.@@admiralAlfonso9001
@@BIastProcX the problem with Shinobi is: original studio behind Shinobi probably do not exist now (their last game was Valkyria Chronicles 4), and i dont see in Sega Japan devs who would be good with this series now. Maybe they should hire Dotemu from Streets of Rage 4, they doing good job with making arcade games. The second main problem is oversaturation in action games genre, low budget Shinobi = inevitaible flop, like Shinobi / Nightshide on PS2.
This was one of my "why not" games that i bought used at GameStop for tge Wii, and i instantly loved the game. After playing the demo i had a lot of fun. It helps rhythm games are in my top 3 favorite gaming genres.
Its also one of the games that helped make me a huge fan of SEGA outside of just Sonic. That and Billy Hatcher a game that deserves a second chance as well.
Seeing how they're bringing back these amazing IPs AND two out of the 3 main devs are working with sega again, I'd say it's a good chance we will In a year or two which is fine :)
