    Back when the company buyers were educated well enough to understand technical information.
    They really were well built, the wonder of the world after the war.

    i bought a 58 one ton in 1980 an still own it & an she is still doin a great job !

    Drove some of the old gas and diesel trucks in the 70's. !950-60's old school Mack, Fords, GMC, Diamond Reo cool stuff!

    Great trucks! No computer needed. Just needed standard tools and common sense to work on them.

    You could pull your double trailer of 19000lbs with the massive 261 cube inline 6 with `148 horsepower on tap.You would be shifting a lot of times to even get to an maintain 45 mph
    A driving experience designed for only the shiftiest of characters !
    Ford,Dodge,International- about the same over the road power.
    Yes,Truck Drivers were almost superhuman 75-100 years ago and after 10-15 years you were almost a cripple

      Kodiak is the one & half ton , & bigger 2 ton , 3 ton

      @@brendasteadman6808 GM doesn't build them , I believe they're built by Navistar for GM .
