Very impressive and what I like most about your video is the fact that you have the balls to walk stuff that doesn't feel right that day and put it on the video. That speaks volumes to me. Thank you!
Was just out last weekend and saw a whole group of kayakers pull over and walk up next to me on the shore to scout the rapids. A few minutes later a raft with four people and a dog came through, didn't scout anything, and promptly flipped on the first big wave. They later said they should have gotten out like the kayakers did and plan their route through the rapids. But at least I caught it on video, so maybe they can learn from their mistakes...
Wicked run Dane. And thanks for sharing your thought process on whether or not you run a river feature. It is good for us amateur to see that even a pro will decide to walk sometimes.
You never cease to amaze! Excellent rope support when he was caught in the hole. Mad respect for you when you decided not to run those two drops. Many “power boaters” let their egos over take their judgement and that is when things go bad. You showed us that even the “All Mighty Balls of Steel Can Do No Wrong Dane Jackson” knows when it is good to portage. It am stoked to see you keeping such scenes in your final cuts!
The feature gets hard to make it through at those higher levels, and if you get stuck, it is also very tough to get out of the feature again. We agreed that if he got stuck and decided he needed help getting out he would look for me and I would pull him out with the rope.
Nailed another rescue toss. Dang nice knowing your buddies trow rope skills are rodeo worthy in class ....6? Worthy of another rescue shortie? Used to fish dem rivers before I boated.
Ian Brown I’ve tried a few. But the silicone ones from Walmart or a pharmacy are my favorite cause you can really fill your ear. Plus they are fairly cheap cause in the end you lose ear plugs all the time.
Probably, but not advisable I wouldn't think (as a ww kayaker). A creek boat would be better suited due to the high water levels, beside the fact that this run is likely rated a solid 5- especially at this level. The abovementioned assumes you are not a world-class playboater, that is :)
@@danejacksonkayak amazing thanks for tip. I'm riding SUP in white water up to 3+ but it's so hard to catch up that when your camera is in such a height :( everything looks so small .
Thanks for sharing this awesome video. Looks so much fun and you have some excellent skills. Could you tell me what type of camera you have? It was really good clear footage and it felt like I was riding the river with you :-)

DENIS MCGEE it’s not always full send! Appreciate the comment
Especially with team trials the next day!

Really thrilling and dangerous.

Thank you for no trashy music soundtrack ... so much more enjoyable with natural sound.
absolutely true!
For real, I hate when it sounds like a rave in the living room but it’s just me watching kayak videos lol

Appreciate it! Never any shame in walking!

A lot of people look up to you Dane. True leadership walking that after Matt's ride. Great run, thanks for sharing
This run makes the Stikine look safe, so much pin potential.
I'm speechless while watching the footage you guys are sick
Great hole rescue by the way
You are so good at trusting your intuition.... respect Dane!! Great video 😍
STOUTS! Awesome team work with the rescue too, Had my heart racing!!
knowing your limits is what keeps you alive, right on my man!
Flip man!!!! When the blue guy got stuck there, that was triggering some full on anxiety down my end. Glad he got out ok..
You ever been down any rivers in Arkansas ? The Buffalo River during a rain looks fun to run. A few waterfall drops as well
That was pretty sick! Nice save... and I agree with Denis about your decision... good on ya'!
That looks beyond spooky. Also great to know the best in the world walk rapids... its reassuring for us mortals who do a lot of walking sometimes
Super impressed with Matt in the hole. Super cool in the situation and in total control.
Yeah he's good like that.

Wow, very inspirational makes me think I should pick up kayaking again.
You should!
Makes me want to start kayaking for the first time.
Nice creek and nice paddling! Well worth 8 minutes.
On the old nautical maps this is where they would just draw sea-monsters and whirlpools.
Impressive , the quality of the vidéo to 💫
1:35-2:55. One of those moments when the viewer talks to RUclips cheering on the paddler hell yeah it was rowdy
2:20 just keep chilling dude
channel removed 😂
Great team work... cooler than a fan...

Awesome video as usual Dane. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍
Another awesome video. Damn that hole where he got stuck was sketchy. And I hope I don't start saying "stout".

Nothing wrong with being safe. Good stuff.
can u explain a bit what happen there at 1:40 for the sake of non kayakers?

@@danejacksonkayak I don't mind fluffy pillows and terrifying holes. I'm in (if I ever make it it there)! 😁
Okay maybe I am terrified a little but I'll still buck up and Huck it!
Dane what camera do you use? is it 360? you always seem to have the right angle.. that river is crazy. nice to paddle thou. apart from that doggy bit.
Just using the Hero 7. But I just always check my angle of the camera before the run. Then keep the mount tight so it can't change throughout the run
nice
that was RAd , good job boys
What class river is this?
V+
Absolutely V+. Definitely one of the stoutest creeks in the SE at any runnable level.
This is a good drinking game video. Drink every time someone says Rowdy...
dangerous haha
jesus christ O_O thats intense
What earplugs do you use?
