Cool! The old neighborhood sure has changed. Is the Huaqiaodaxia still down the street? The Beijing and Wangfujing baihuoxiangdian looks like they’re in older buildings... but not as old as 1979.
Beijing Department Store is still there, the exterior is still there same. But it's been remodeled inside, so it looks like most modern department stores in US. I saw it the first time back in late May 1989, same time as the big event that was happening nearby. But there was a two lane road where the walkway is now. Wangfujing is where I go frequently, since 2006. There's a lot going on there, the Food Republic, where I go to eat a lot of my meals, lunch and dinner, and then there's the Wangfujing Apple Store, with three floors, I go there to edit many of my Beijing based RUclips video's. L WongL when I leave Wangfujing to go home, I sometimes take bus 108, with passes by Huaqiao Overseas Hotel. I’ve walked by it, never been inside.
